I rebuilt my city in half-minifig scale. I was able to add a lot more detail - including villagers...mini-minifigs? Andoria Phase One
One of six parks beneath each rare Black Maple - towering giants planted hundreds of years ago by the Dwarves who built the city.
It is spring in Andoria - Silver City as it is often called - and the Black Maples are starting to grow leaves; a sign of a good year for many and a reminder of the massive cleanup each fall.
The bustling marketplace. Its streets are packed with villagers shopping and gossiping while their children run here and there, the air filled with the cries of shopkeepers peddling their wares.
This villager has taken refuge from the loud markets near a red maple.
One of four guard barracks - two here at the South Gate and two more at the North Gate.
Hmmm....it must be noon. It's the changing of the guard.
Many soldiers walk along the parapets keeping an eye on both the city streets and the land outside the walls.
Two guard captains stand at attention by the South Gate both to watch over the town and to work the winches in the gatehouses that open the massive obsidian doors.
Outside of South Gate. Two serpentine gargoyles stare down with sapphire eyes on any who wish to enter the city. I hope you enjoyed your visit.
That's all the space I have on the air hockey table and I used most of my grey blocks so I couldn't finish even if I had more room. This is only about a fourth of the city with the houses near North Gate, farms along the walls of East Silver City and West Silver City, and the main keep in the center of it all - ringed by the six Black Maples - not included. My next MOC is going to be a two-layered vig of the third and fourth floor of the main keep ( the grand ballroom and the kitchens below) and I'm going back to minifig scale for that one so it might be awhile before my next post. I hope you guys like the upgraded city as much as I do.
