About this creation
Capital city of Orius, the northern realm of man. This great castle city was built by the Dwarves, long ago, before they disappeared from the surface world.
I apologize for the bad picture quality. The city (or, rather, half of the city built in a smaller scale) is on an old air hockey table in a dark corner of my basement where it has sat for years; unfinished but not unloved. :) I built this years ago when I had a massive castle city - wide and sprawling and poorly organized. When I took the city apart, I just kind of threw everything into tubs and stopped building with legos altogether. I just started again a few months ago and I'm really digging MOCpages. I haven't uploaded it before now because I'm kind of embarrassed by my half-castle compared to the awesome ones on here. I just spent four hours going through my tubs of Legos and color coordinating them so I'm going to start working on this castle again.

Castle Interior
Think of this as a cross section of the city. The city is supposed to be hexagonal with a tower at each corner and one in the middle of four of the walls. Great sloping pathways lead from each corner up to the main keep, high above the barracks, markets, farms, and houses. Six ancient maples - hundreds of years old - tower over the city, their branches reaching up to the stone walkways. The city stands resilient astride the mighty Alang River at the head of the Falls of Genhan. A stone bridge leads to massive gates - many times the height of a man - in the walls facing north and south.
A fortress stands vigilant guard on either side of the city, barring access to the bridges that span the white water. Great golden sentinels look with majesty upon the vale, their massive axes forged of silver. For a size reference, one stud of the baseplate would be roughly the size of two men.
After sorting my legos by color again (EVERYONE SHOULD DO THIS lol), I rebuilt my micro scale version of the city complete with a waterfall.
I won't be able to build the whole city minifig scale as I don't have the money and, honestly, I'm not sure if it would fit in my basement but I am going to work on completing the city in this scale - or, at least, half of it. I'd like you guys to be able to see the markets, farms, houses, and barracks and at least imagine what it would look like minifig scale. I hope you guys like it.

Thanks a lot guys! One day I'll build the whole city minifig scale and bring it to a Brickfair, though not for a few years. I'm glad you like it :D |

Very nice! Would you mind giving me a link to some pictures of the organized bending arena?
I think the water could use a wave or two, but ti' very good! I like the micro scale, too!
Thanks. Check out Andoria Micro 2.0 and South Gate; I did a bit of updating but I'll think of more ways to add waves.
Here you go.
