Category: It's a Trap!: Ok, so your adventurer is deep within the catacombs or wherever his adventure has led him and then BAM, the trap is sprung. Give us a dio showing your adventure hero being killed by (or narrowly escaping, your choice) a trap set by those who did not wish their treasure disturbed. (Note: This does NOT have to be an "Indiana Jones" kind of thing. Adventurers looked for treasure in EVERY time period of history... and fiction.)
I recently got Minecraft: Xbox Edition (I love it!) and I thought I would do this in an underground setting. It also gave me a chance to use the Dino minifigures I got on my BrickCon excursion. I wanted to make both the "hero being killed by" and the "hero narrowly escaping" parts into the same MOC. I think I did that well. In the MOC, the hero narrowly escapes an easy trap and rushes for the treasure without considering the possibility of a second trap in existence. Well, at least the sidekick can get all the loot.
The sidekick trying (and failing) to get the hero to stop.
View of the hero.
The untimely outcome.
Cast of minifigs.
The treasure chest and all the free-floating parts.
I used that 1x3 brown plate like this to give the impression that there is more treasure than there really is.
These next pictures are without the minifigs, the chest, and the falling rock.
And the rock.
Well this was fun to make. I almost didn't post this in time. The reason is, as Ian Spacek put it "life before LEGO". In other words, school. But at any rate I did it. Best of luck to Jelle Heijne.
I also forgot to mention that the crystals in the wall correspond to the danger there is at that point. Yellow crystal is for the spike trap, green = good, Red crystal for the falling boulder, and a diamond for the treasure chest.
