Thoy Bradley vs Adam L.
Black and White: Build a scene using black, white and shades of grey (No, not all 50 of them) to give us an "old movie" feel. Seriously, no "colors" in this one. Feel free to use old movies and TV shows as inspiration (and copy if you'd like) but the idea here is to have the picture LOOK LIKE it was taken in black and white.
When Thoy put his entry up almost a week ago, I was like "Uh, I better get building!" I hadn't even started. The next day, still had no idea what to do. Then the next day, the next day, the next day still nothing, until sometime in the evening! My mom told me I should build the Addams family from the old TV show "The Addams Family" One, because it was cool, and two because it's the same as my name almost! :P She had come up with the idea actually a long time before Friday, but I had dismissed it because I thought it would be too hard. She had still been nagging me and saying "You can't go wrong with building the house, seriously!" So I got building a little bit that night, and did most of the building on Saturday and today. Honestly, I am surprised I finished it in time!
Check out Thoy's awesome build! Leave a comment on his, and maybe mine if you feel like it. :P

Excellent build Adam! The gray scale is a tough one to build in (I'm currently working on a project in that tone), but you gave it one of the best presentations I've seen yet. Sorry you didn't make it into the next round, but you did a marvelous job against a very tough opponent!
I really wish that I could see the interior of this. While the build is excellent, I felt like there was more going on in Thoy's entry, which earned him my vote.
Hey Adam, it looks like the jury is in. Thanks for being an awesome opponent. I did really enjoy your build, it has some good techniques and some fine detailing. This category has sparked a few ideas in my head and I may re-visit the B&W look in some future builds. I hope to see you grow on these pages the same way we all have. I foresee some more golden MOCs coming from you in the future :) All the best. ~Thoy
Great house matey but I voted for Thoy's creation. Your mansion is really cool but I felt it needed a creepy tree or something else to help it come alive and to look less isolated. Thanks for playing!
It's a great build, but I think with the inspiration of the subject, it could use a little more to create the creepiness- maybe some creepy black trees in the foreground to frame it.
Yeah this is a pretty cool build Adam. I love the fact we both went for clean builds. Your house has a lot of nice detailing and looks like a great LEGO replica of the one in the clip. This should be a pretty close call :) Well done! ~Thoy
