About this creation
My category is, Men in Tights: Superheroes are all the rage this year and Lego has joined in the fun. Give us your version of a superhero(s) locked in mortal combat with the villian of your choosing. If you do not have Lego "hero figs" feel free to use your own but do try to make it "established" super heroes. Also give us a battle ground for your hero to... well... do battle in.
My esteemed opponent, Giovanni S.

Faster than a ship at full sail,
Able to leap cathedrals in a single bound,
more powerful than an ox,
It's...

THE FLYING SCOTSMAN!

Here we see our hero engaged in combat with a devious pyromantic villain!

The beer garden of a nearby pub has caught ablaze, this will really get hot when the fire reaches the brandy...

The crowds watching in terror.

And the town crier preforms his duties wonderfully.

4th wall, when I was this category, I was stumped, I don't do city related things. After a week I finally got an idea(thanks to my sister!), I'd use an established superhero stereotype, plus a pun, to make something new. The Moc is supposed to be set in colonial era Scotland. There are somethings that I think could have improved the Moc, but I'm going out of town for a couple days, and this is all I could do with the run time. I've had a lot of fun, especially since I didn't think I'd make this far. Thanks you, judges for your time I appreciate it!

Aw... Too bad we won't face one each other this year, I really like your style! On the good side, now you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the show, while we poor winners must build again and again ;-) Congrats on making it so far and good luck next time!
sit back and relax? unfortunately no, I've got a LEGO collection to sort... |

Thank you, judges, for your time and energy, I'm happy enough getting this far. |

What I liked a lot about your entry is that the action is well presented, a hero and a villain facing off, I like the fire effects, especially the burning barrel. At first I was going to vote for you but upon exploring the entries a bit better your opponent got me with his details within the entry, he has my vote. you did great, good job! |

That was a painful main photo. Talk about third degree burns... Anyhow, this was indeed a very clever build, and I loved how both of you stepped outside the superhero "norms." Unfortunately, my vote goes to Gio as well. His build was very busy, but the techniques he presented and utilized were very impressive. It's a shame to see you go, but you put up quite the fire-flinging fight in this round and all previous! |

LMFAO! A very original idea, and a wonderfully created scene! I think Gio has you here, but who knows...I've seen greater upsets in the past! Hold your head up, you did an amazing job in a category your opponent made his own -- and thrives in. It's almost like cheating! :P |

The Flying Scotsman is an idea that really works. I'm glad to see he's defending the burning down of a pub - a true Scottish hero. |

Awesome! I'm really fond of the little details: water jumping out of the bucket, the old cellar and when I saw the first picture of your superhero I really thought he was flying! Amazing job! Good luck! |

Fantastic! I love the house especially, but great work all around. The Pyromancer needs his ring of fire, though... ;)

I had the same feeling, oh Invisible one. The Category had me pondering for three days and then I came up with Aquaman, Ocean Master, Black Manta & Batman. Your build displays a lot of action and firepower, but why is the base so high? I'll post mine in a few hours; good luck to our judges!
Why is the base so high? so that I could think about what I was going to build, and so that I could make that cool layered look. |

Great idea for a superhero's name. There's loads of good details tucked away in this MOC but my favourite one is the lad with the small and totally ineffectual bucket of water, trying to put the fire out. |
