A while ago my 2 youngest sons asked me to build a pirate ship. I did it rather quickly and founded it nice though they didn’t help me much as they were 2and1/2 years old. Then I decided to play the “lets use all our bricks game” And, my 7 years old son helped me a bit to build a bigger ship. Unluckily it was sunk by the 2 young pirates before I could take pictures of it. Last week we played the same game and build a similar ship. The back is not as good but this time it lasted longer and I had time to make some shots of it. It’s not a masterpiece but Duplos are handy to build big things (80cm - 2’8” high and 1m - 3’4” long) and more fun than I thought.
Impressive work for Duplos. I never liked Duplos as a kid, but I've considered getting them for my kids as a training tool. This makes me think that might not be such a bad idea.
I love the Duplo (I have submitted a few oddities in the medium) and this is great! I shall show it my four year old tomorrow and expect the inevitable question. "Daddy, can you..."
A fantastic curve ball of a MOC. I've wondered about posting some of our duplo creations although to be honest none have looked anything quite as impressive as this.
A neat and , colourful ship which looks fun to play with. I like how all the different colours are in bands, so that the ship doesn't look messy. The hull is really well curved, especially considering that it's built from Duplo blocks. Brilliant work.
