Volkswagen T1 "Splittie"
About this creation
Even if it's the first real-life based car by me here on MOCpages, it's just one of much I buildt.

About the original: Buildt from 1950-1967, the Volkswagen T1 become an icon for freedom. The original was based on the Volkswagen 1300 "Beetle", so it had just 34 horsepowers. In Germany we call it "Bulli".
Lenght: 4015 mm/13.61 feet
Widht: 1660 mm/5.44 feet
Height: 1900 mm/6.23 feet
Weight: 975 kg/ 2149 pound

About the model: The orignal building instructions were made by Lego as a promotion for the Lego Rock Band game. But this was a modified version with wide wheels, big engine and other weird things. So I "un-modified" it and tried to build as near to the stock version as possible. Classic red-white paint, light brown interior.
