"Are you afraid of me? You should be, because I'll kick your *Bleep!* to the side of-! Oh my! I never knew that I had such foil words in my processor!"~A haywire PMB chasing down a rat.
FUNCTION: Personal Butler (includes cooking, fetching mail, chores, laundry, ect.)
TOOLS: meat pounder, laser cutter, and various more tools
STATUS: Functional and numerous, though no longer in production.
BIO: During the war on Izewofk, the leaders of the many countries feared rebellion within their homelands. To bring (false) comfort (and hide the nuclear weapons), they started many manufacturers of luxury. The ppl would sit on their lazy hides and party, while the soldiers died for their gluttonous pleasures. Their laziness and fun-seeking attitudes turned out to be their doom, though. Having let the PMB do all the work, they became oblivious to the real events outside home. So it wasn't a surprise that they weren't prepared for a fallout. Only the lucky and the strong survived.
While a number of PMBs survived the bombs, not all of them where the same. Some had their databoards damaged, losing certain functions and abilities. A few went haywire, damaging everything in their range, including themselves. Some just continue their activities, unaware that their masters are dead. In short, they became mechanical ghosts trapped in a dusty past. A lucky few were able to see the dark truth, and began aiding survivors out of a lack of purpose.
"Need a back massage, sire? Perhaps this meat pounder will do. I've already gave it a good cleanin', so you won't have to worry about those nasty infections."
"do you need a haircut, madam? I can use this laser cutter as a suitable substitute for scissors. Oh, don'y give me that look. The Fire Extinguisher's right next to you."
I didn't have a ruler, so I had to improvise.
Oboiusly, they're not that big of a threat. XD
"I wasn't programmed for this!" Turret version. XD
The build may have been a little simple but man that backstory is great Ahpolki!
I also like how you made diffrent variants. Also (not just for the contest) you should get some white poster board as a backdrop it would improve you photos loads.
