A custom BMW E21 (or E12, I can never keep number names straight) that I threw together after failing miserably with LDD. I like real bricks.
About this creation

Utilizing more chrome pieces for that shiny "I used chrome pieces" affect.

The sides, which still need some work. Those fenders don't exactly line up against any bricks I've tried as of yet.

And now for no apparent reason, some exhaust and gas lines. Also note the rear differential, and the double wishbone suspension up front. There's also torsion bars in the back. Nice and cushy*
At least it would be, if I'd not given the front so much rake that the skid plate touches the ground.... -_-

The back, with my un-purist fin. At least it looks nice.

The rest is totally Lego, without any other stickering, mind you.

Here's the spacious trunk, complete with space.

And now for the interior. With colorful colors.

After reading some British fellow's article about wanting odd carpets in his Merc, I put odd carpets in my BMW. Lime green poofy carpet, to be precise.

I also opted for lime green racing seats and a maroon bench, the likes of which would make every car designer burst into laughter if proposed at an actual meeting.

Now obviously there's something nice under the hood, since its 'carbon fibre' and giant. So here it is: A meaty working I6, with some chrome and wiring and greebly bits for detail. All that is on top of working double wishbone suspension, and working steering. And this time, the steering is actually controlled from the steering wheel! Fantastic!

Artsy shots.

For whatever reason my camera was quite insistent on taking blurry photos... I hope these aren't too bad.

Oh and by the way... its still Moctober.

Thanks for stopping by!

A friend of mine received his mother's white BMW 318 when he became 18... And rather quicly wrecked it. That wasn't an easy car to drive. Neither to build : great job !!! |

I've been away from MOCpages for a long time and it seems that whenever I come back, you've made several new cars, all of which are amazing.
This one comment goes for all when I say that your work is fantastic. Great eye for detail, excellent part usage, and wonderful overall presentation.
You really need to get a flickr account (if you don't already have one) becasue we would love to have you in the group LUGNuts. If you applied to join LUGNuts, you'd easily be accepted into one of the best LEGO car clubs on the planet. |

I had a metallic blue 1980 E21 316 in 1994 (the E12 was the 5er). Terrific car in comparison to it's counterparts of a similar age. Nice to see the single headlamp grille instead of the more popular double one from the more expensive models. This must be the 320/6 because of the single exhaust. Love it!

Those fenders are Bonkers! I like it! Nice car too XD

The engine is great, but these fenders... They are a bit too weird. I mean the idea itself is great, but it does not look good on an old car.
Oh, and E21 is right ;) |

Beautifully done, although those wheelarches do show the disadvantage of using specialized pieces.... and yay! for the return of lime seats :-) |

Wow, far better than my attempt at an '02.. The interior was a surprise, not expecting that! The engine also looks great, as do the pedals, awesome work :) |

Clever idea for the fenders. If the fender-piece is what I think it is, you could build the sides of the car SNOT-wise, using tiles, -and plates where the fender attach... |
