Large Scale V8 Muscle Car
A big V8 muscle car from the 1970's. Features a Technic V8 engine and differential. Opening doors, hood, and trunk. Plenty of details, even manual window handles :)
About this creation
A big muscle car I designed on my own. Started on Oct. 1st and finished it on the 11th.
Kinda looks like a charger, barracuda, and a duster combined into one lol.

Chrome exhaust tips

Notice the sloped (bumper). Took me a while to get it like I wanted it.

Big trunk for LEGOs :D

Sides are curved using plates. Wanted to tile the sides, but didn't have enough tiles.

Black vinyl top. I was worrying on how to make a realistic roof, but worked out well :)

Preview of the interior.

Front

Hidden headlights

Hood gets in the way of the covers though :/ I like the fog lights.

Hood vents for the engine.

Top. Black and red looks awesome, plus it is the most of one color parts I have :P

Yeahhhhh! That big V8 :)

Even put the master cylinder for the brakes.

Interior. So many gauges :P

Seats recline too.

Big shift knob and that is supposed to be one of those old radios where you have the needle that went back and fourth for the stations. Use your imagination. :)

Manual windows.

Drivers view

Bottom. Didn't add an exhaust system. Couldn't find where I put my ribbed hoses at.

Oil pan

Differential.

Trunk holds a lot of crates.

More pictures :)

Vignette style picture fits the car well.

Retro.

B&W

sketchy

Forgot to add some pictures of the side panels off. You can see the few areas that actually hold the car together, but it is really strong.

Radiator

Stock engine is out.

The bellhousing with the clutch plate :)

Ol 4 speed is out.

Already have the new tires installed on the supercharged version im making. :D

Saved some WIP pictures. I rarely take pics of a WIP.

Im glad I didnt stick with the side panels that high. It would of looked like a 4x4 muscle car :p

About 50% complete.

Thanks for viewing. Please rate and comment :) It was a fun build.

I like your take on how to build things, square, clean and efficient. Highly detailed too, very cool. Z

Michael, were you to work on the front and back of your car a bit, it would look just like a classic 1960s Ford Mustang, which I think that, despite your insistance that you vehicle resembles a Mercury Cougar/Ford Fairlane from that era, it really owes more of its aesthetics to the vehicle that I had mentioned. Also, you might want to consider using a different technique when you build a car body. You can do so and stil have a SNOT-like appearance for your vehicle.

Thanks everyone! Glad you all love it :) @ Darek L: Sure does have some looks of a Cougar. Especially the vinyl top and tail lights. Added a few more pictures with the side panels off and start of the supercharged version. Finished version will be a new creation.

Very cleverly made, and very professional, too. The hidden headlights are a highlight for me, and I really like the engine. Great build! :)

Cool! I like how combined the functions and exterior details. The shaping and the rear look good. I wasn't too sure about the front, until I saw the hidden headlights. Nice work! 5/5

Awesome car! That V8 has to be the highlight of the build, though. It's just perfect. Everything else is nice as well.

Very Cool! Good to see it finished. I like the overall styling of it and that engine is really cool! the interior seats are a little bit bland but the rest of the interior is great! I does ride a bit high tough...
