Category: End of the World! Build a MOC depicting how the world we know might come to it's untimely end.
Upon learning of the category assigned, I spent several days thinking of something that would fit the category, having little time to actually build anything. Originally, I thought about building a scene from War of the Worlds, which is the classic story of how the world might end. But after my opponent built his MOC with a similar approach, I decided to scrap the idea. After some panic, I finally was able to construct my entry.

I concur with Jensen this is quite an excellent MOC. Build: 5/5 This is a great build so well done on that. Use of forced perspective 4.5/5 It wasn't the best use of FP but is still a excellent use of it. Space usage 0/5. Personal opinion 4.5/5 As I said before I think this is a excellent entry. Pics/originality 4/5 Pics aren't the best but there is a massive amount of originality. Total: 18/25 Great entry Lego Builder Senior! |

First of all excellent creation! I will remind you that I cannot give you points for the use of space so that is an automatic -5 for you. Sorry but that is what was agreed on. Here we go, 5/5 for build, nothing wrong with this and very original. 4/5 for FP. It could be better presented. 0/5 for use of space. 4/5 for personal opinion. I like it a lot but although cleanliness is good it is slightly plain. 3/5 for pics/originality. Pics are lacking but it is pretty original so there you go. Total: 16/25 which is only 4 less points than you could have gotten given that is is too big so well done! I will tell our other judge to get on it. |

A simple but beautiful MOC. I think that the FP works very well and I like the posing/siting of the mini-figs too. |

LBS, your presentation on this was stunning! The FP made me look twice, I thought it was a mosaic at first. In the end though my vote went to your opponent. I felt his depiction of destruction and the detail within just (and I mean JUST) beat this one out by a narrow margin. Good luck with your other judges! ~ Chris.
Thanks Phipson. I appreciate the fact that you gave the reason behind your vote. And thanks to the other judges for the very quick judging! I wish my opponent good luck in the next round!

That is just awesome! Incredibly done. Did you use Photoshop at all? Or is the background really angled to fit the door frame?
Yes, I built the background so that it would fit inside the doorway. I also made sure that I shot the photo at the exact angle. Photoshop was only used to clean up any discoloration and to whiten the board on which I used to take the photos.
