MOTHER EARTH: Attention! Attention! Calling the Trash Man! Come in, Trash Man! This is Mother Earth; the planet needs your help! Your evil arch-nemesis, the Fearsome Fly has begun a destructive campaign of polluting LEGO® City! Please help us, Trash Man… the fate of planet Earth is in your trash can!

TRASH MAN: Have no fear, citizens of the world! It is I, the Trash Man! It is my duty to clean the planet from the nefarious clutches of wicked waste.
FEARSOME FLY: Mwahahaha! I’m afraid you’re too late, Trash Man! My plot to corrupt planet Earth with piles and piles of trash is already in motion! Why, even you foolish humans are contributing to my brilliant plan by not picking up after yourselves! Soon, my Army of Flies will rule the world and thrive off of your delicious rubbish!
TRASH MAN: Not if I can help it! I shall summon the power of the mighty trash can to recycle you out of here, you pesky fiend!
FEARSOME FLY: Good luck with that! First you will have to deal with my malevolent Scavenger Rats!
FEARSOME FLY: Who’s hungry?
TRASH MAN: Great Piles of Junk! This is going to be harder than I thought! Very well, you leave me with no other choice… CALL IN THE GARBAGE TRUCK!!
GARBAGE LAD: Hope I’m not late, Trash Man!
FEARSOME FLY: WHAT? Nooooooo! My plans have been foiled! And I lost to a walking trash can!
TRASH MAN: This looks like an end to your terrifying reign, Fearsome Fly! You and your garbage-eating friends shall never pollute this clean planet again!
BEHIND THE BRICKS
I was very excited for this category, mainly because I got to create my own superhero, and I was competing against Owen S, who I am a huge fan of.
I immediately started brainstorming possible superhero names/ideas, both comedic and serious. The end result as you see here is a comedic story about a serious issue we humans face today; pollution.
My main goal was to balance the build with the story in order to effectively entertain, but also spread the message to the audience.

Trash Man’s trusty sidekick, Garbage Lad enjoys driving the streets in his suped-up Garbage Truck.
The front trash cans power the truck by sucking up loose waste.
The main holding shell in the back stores the collected garbage to be converted into energy.
