M.O. round 2: Roger Brickjet vs Rinse Jan
Rinse Jan vs Roger Brickjet Under your bed: What's hiding under your bed? Is it piles of socks, drawers of Lego, 3 month old cheese burgers... or something more sinister? Originality will play a key role here.
About this creation
2012 MocOlympics
Rinse Jan's great entry

It took a while to get my mind started but then Rinse Jan wrote "[...] don't look under your bed!" in a comment. And that got my thinking about things I could have under my bed that I didn't want anyone else to see :)

So under my bed, I now have my secret play area, please don't tell anyone ;)

Park, café, a charming male minifig and a wide selection of female minifigs (Just to be on the safe side...THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A JOKE!)

This is my first half modular-sized building 2 x 16 x 32, with park and café. I aimed for "cupcakeS" on the sign but it was too long, this was much better :)

Back side and roof, with glass roof and some sort of air conditioner. (Oh, and the messy backside of the sign)

Look! It's Stephanie, the café owner.

A customer with pastries, behind her is a mayan cloth used in ritual calendar calculations, (ok, it's actually just hiding the "cracked wall" visible on the outside).

Inside.

The refridgerated display thing, espresso machine take away bags and cash register.

Yes, I'm quite happy with these ;)

The park again.

The café, it's actually a bit hard to see the cracked wall here.

Bonus: Figs on a plate...well actually two plates.

LMFAO a very funny "cake"....errrr take on the category! Sorry you didn't make it to the next round!

This wasn't really what I expected for this category but I must say it's actually pretty clever and technically it fits right in the category even if unexpected, I guess that's kind of original and I do like that cupcake café. But in the end the originallity was in the Idea to place the lego under a bed instead of in the build itself so I decided your opponent's entry deserves my vote. The build is great either way, don't forget that ;)

Roger, first let me say that this was a GREAT build! My daughter would LOVE to have that hiding under her bed (she has boring drawers of clothes). I think Rinse's take on the category was more in the spirit of what I was personally looking for though. He got my vote. Thank you so much for a really, REALLY great entry! ~ Chris.

Great build! You've done a superb job on the garden and the house! The 'cupcake' sign is real boss. I think this is going to be a close call... On scale at least I think you've just beaten me. Good luck. and remember: Don't look under your bed ;) haha.

Quoting Paul Vermeesch Interesting take on the category to say the least. I can see where you're going with this once I've read your backstory, but just looking at the MOC without the backstory, it's relevance to the theme was lost on me. You may have beat Rinse at building, but my vote still goes to him simply for the category's sake. All the same, good luck with the rest of the judges!
Ok, thank you! I can see your point...but you are wrong ;) So...maybe I got carried away with the theme, a little. No hard feelings here, at least I got a laugh out of it when I was building ;)
