MocOlympics Round 2: Stuart Delahay Vs David.
Worst. Day. Ever.
About this creation
Compliance to rules Here’s David!

Category: "Just one of those days..." Have you ever had a day where nothing went well? Maybe you got fired, maybe you could only find one sock, or maybe the machines rose up and took control of the planet. Show us your idea of the worst day ever….

Well my take on this was not to show you my worst day ever - My worst day ever would be very personal, horrible and pretty difficult to render in Lego. In fact I dislike the ease with which that statement is used, so with that in mind……

“Oh Randy, I dropped my Popsicle in that icky puddle! It’s probably hobo pee! This is the worst day ever!”

No, you really need some perspective on the situation….

“Dang flood! Came right over the wall and washed my car right over here, barely had time to grab my tools. Must be the worst day ever!”

No, I really believe that every day has the potential to get worse….

(just an overall view to show the anti-SNOT construction - a celebration of the stud. And every single trans clear stud I own....)

“So I lost like, $3.5 million on the stock market today – worst day ever! Still, I did get this Tokyo penthouse for a steal, so not all bad, eh?”

Well there’s worst, and then….

Good luck to David, and to everyone else in the second round. The quality of entries is great so far this year so keep it up guys and girls. I hope to see you in round 3.

Thanks for looking.

Stu, Three wonderful vignettes, but the size, proportion, and character of Godzilla out of the window is just spot on. ~Dave

Apart from the good laughs I got from these scenes, they are also a great motivation for me to continue building.

A fantastic entry Stu. I really like all of them, but the piano scene really made me laugh, and it shows your wicked sense of humour too. The Tokyo reference is also very clever. Thank you for your kind words on my entry, it is probably for the best as time is an issue for me now. Good luck with the rest of the contest, i know you will do us Brits proud. Joe

This is a reat entry, more than certainly a challenge to beat! (Seeing as you beat me ;)...) I like how every day has potential to get worse. Like mine! I had a headache this morning, and when I checked my post, my day got worse. :P (thanks) But really this is an awesome build and more than worthy to go to the next round. No hard feelings. :) (Unless I Chris doesn't make a grumbling thread, *snicker*) Good luck in R3!

Fantastic! Funniest MOC of the round for my money, each of the scenes is really well built and composed. 3 great builds which I confidently predict will put you into round 3! The piano is an instant classic, and the flood and Godzilla head are really nice too. At the risk of sounding like an echo, go MOC Olympics team GB!

Perfect. Each scene, mint. Piano my favourite. I didn't know you could get that punk rocker hair in black! I must have. Good luck buddy, these are fantastic, and I like your take on the category. You are right, we need to get some perspective on our selfish little issues, things can always get worse.
