Bet you didn't see this one coming! Here's my attempt at the first lady of fighting games: Chun Li! Let me say right off the bat that I know next to nothing about Street Fighter, I've seen the two live action movies, I've played the pinball machine and I can identify a handfull of characters, that's it. This build was a bit of a spur of the moment thing, it originally started out as a jet transformer but that idea was going south quickly. I looked at the brown and blue pieces in front of me and started building, a couple of days later Chun was done, I quickly built up a display stand for her and the rest is history. Thanks for looking and please comment!
About this creation
Chun Li features plenty of articulation, she has ball joints in her hips and stomach, 90' joints at her elbows and knees, 360' rotation at her waist, heaps of movement at her shoulders thanks to some 'T' pieces, some movement at her ankles and neck rotation.
The display stand was a last minute edition but still turned out pretty good in my opinion, it's not quite a circle but it does the job.
Spinning Bird Kick! I love this. I like some of your joint solutions, especially the waist joint. I build similar mocs and I know how difficult it is getting the correct poseability without making the figure too bulky. Great job. Love the Yin Yang symbol stand too.
Whoa! That is really great! Putting the stomach articulation did wonders for the posability for all those moves! As Chris Roach mentioned, she is easily recognizable. When I first saw the stand I couldn't figure out why the different colors for the base and when you showed it from the bottom, it hit me like a ton of bricks. The ying/yang stand is a nice creative touch.
