About this creation

Here is my entry for round 1 in the MIT. You can find my opponent's hompepage here. My category was Happy Holidays! The goal was to build a MOC depicting your favorite holiday.

I chose to do a classic thanksgiving dinner scene. It includes a father, grandpa, and grandma. I initially planned to add a mother and baby as well as more table, but was limited by my piece collection. I should also mention that I probably would not have completed this unless my brother had loaned me some bricks.

Here we have Grandma eating sweet potatoes...

And Grandpa consuming mashed potatoes.

I put some small pilgrim figurines on the mantlepiece along with a cornucopia of squash (and a frog).

I love the fact that this is in Miniland scale! Not alot of builders deviate from minifig scale, so it's nice to see. However, that wasn't enough to get my vote. I vote for your opponent.

Thank you, I thought making large-scale figures would be fun. I am glad I went with it for this model, but I have nothing against minifigures and will almost certainly use them frequently in the future
