About this creation

WELCOME TO UPDATES!!! HERE'S YOUR HOST! Jordan!

Jordan: Hey there everyone. This episode will focus on recent events and small updates on stuff.

Jordan: So this is entirely for social updates, as updated mocs have not been photographed yet *cough*12lego*cough*.

12lego: Shut it little man...

Jordan: So this past weekend has been a lot of fun for 12lego. He has been part of two very exciting things.

One, his first band review! That's right, this past Saturday was a band review. They had a great performance and ended up winning some awards there as well. The band won 1st place in their division and 3rd overall. The Auxiliaries got 4th overall and the percussion line got 7th overall. Meanwhile, their drum major got 4th overall. Let's give them a big hand!

The next event was...

Creation Nation event put on at my localish lego store this past weekend (Sept. 28-30). In the event, people can build their own contribution towards the map of the US.

I helped out on Sunday after being asked to do so by the assistant manager,

I worked from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM and then helped clean up from 6:00 to 10:15 PM (there was still a lot left when we left).

While working, I did every thing from placing builds, handing out baseplates, refilling brick bins, taking apart the "unworthy" builds, to other stuff.

After 6:00 came the kidzilla attack! XD

Clean up was very long. We had to separate all the bricks (even plate-built ones). It took 4+ hours to clean it all up. All of us, employees, BayLUG, and volunteers, hated the plate-built bricks, that an the Mega Blocks we found within the Lego.

There were a few BayLUG members there too.

More pics of Creation Nation can be found Here.

Jordan: Here's Tarshduk holding 12lego's name tag from helping at Creation Nation. He got to keep it!
Jordan: That's it for this episode! I know it was short, but 12lego just wanted to get this out there. Stay tuned for more episodes of Updates!

Haha, okay. Yeah, I'm afraid I don't go to any Lego stores often enough to actually know anyone. There's one guy who's recognized me once... that's it. XD

Quoting Chronos Omega That's cool, glad to hear that life's going pretty well. How does one get 'on the list', so to speak, to help out at a Lego store? There are three that are easily less than an hour from me (and Rav), it might be neat to help out at some event or other.
Well for me, I was asked to do it by the assistant manager. My dad and I go to that Lego store quite often so they know us and know that I love lego. So she asked me to help out.
