By the late 2100s the unified goverment of mars was facing great threats of foreign hordes. The Earth forces had assaulted our skies, and raised our cities. They unified into a powerfull fighting force.
The Mars hover tanks proved good in open spaces, but lacked the manuverability in tight urban combat, so greyfeild industries, a rising megacorparation, was hired to produce a infantry support weapon. Its mainly used to engage infantry, but its rail cannon can easly destroy light armor, firing tungsten shells at over 30 times the speed of sound.
Even so Mars fell, and human goverment centered there was defeated. Lockheart began selling to Earth forces.
About this creation
Update for Pendragon 4/23/13
Fixed ugly right arm

"news reports from september 3 2203"
Today Lockheart company a subsidiary of greyfeild, finished plans for mass production of pendragon units to rearm the depleated republic troops, the shock and awe effect was demonstrated in a moc battle with PLA forces who stood little chance aginst the walking tanks. Nuetron enhanced rounds also killed severly wounded forces, whos armor was turned heavly irradiated after being torn apart by the tungsten, there is no no possible cure.

Grayfield technologies land systems & Greyfeild lockheart systems ... Creation of CAU-777 Pendragon prototype 01 ... Combat Assault Unit, artificial intelligence ... is at 100% completion, and on standby ...
Powerplant: 2 WEB microfusion cells
Armement:
- 1 168mm Ops railcannon
- 1 20mm XEN automatic chain weapon "dubbed the unholy firehose"
- 1 anti infantry micro heat weapon
Armor: classified synthetic material
Height: 6.5 meters tall
Speed: 29 M.P.H.

Im quite proud of this one, took an entire day "38 hours nonstop" to build (half the time was spent trying to make it stand). Its not finished either, was going to add a second arm, and fingers, but it was nerfed by D&C admins so I just added some big guns.
I will be added more creations in the "very" near future, most likely will have two more by next weekend, then it will be time to do more xbox, then maybe work on some new creations I have Ideas for.

Thanks for viewing, comments are greatly appreciated

Looks great! Somehow reminds me of the Star Wars drones the Empire sent out in ep.5 |

The chain gun is somewhat reasonable, but do you understand just how big 168mm is? Take a look at how big a 120 mm shell is, and then make it 1/4 diameter larger. Sure, the railgun shells might not be as long, but your mech simply couldn't hold anywhere near that many shells without something like a magic bag of holding. XD If we assume that each shell is around the same
size as a 1-by-1 brick, this gives your mech at least 6 2-by-4 blocks being nothing but railgun rounds. This obviously leaves very little room for anything else internally, if it could even be held in the first place.
Ok, it was only meant to be a secondary anyway, like missiles on a tank, 6-8 rounds sounds reasonable. |

First off, excellent job on this mech, this is extremely impressive for a first mech ever. The large amount of advanced techniques and detail really make this mech work. Anyway, I do have to agree about the are being too long, and the legs look kind of spindly. Also, have you considered how little ammo this mech is going to have? At 168 mm, that railgun couldn't have more than 8 shells, and that's being generous. It would also appear that the chaingun has a rather limited limited supply of ammo as well. Anyway, It would seem obvious that you are good at making mechs, so I think you should seriously consider making more in the future.
Thanks for the comment, The rail gun doesnt have shells inside of it, instead theres a clip of 40 inside the body, its fed into the guns breach by a loading mechanism.
The chaingun only has 200 rounds, but its commonly fired in five round bursts.
Its also possble to have an external chain linked into the hull, but I didnt try and show because thhe rest of the links is on my crusader. |

That is one ugly, but very well done mech. It reminds me of the jagger mech, or the urban mech: ugly as sin, but still loaded with face melting power. |

Interesting and unusual design. If I may enter some mechanical physics, I would recommend shortening the arm. For an appendage with a weapon attached, the longer the appendage, the less stable it will be when the weapon is fired, on average. The legs also seem just a tad spindly for the torso. That all being said, I do very much like the look. And the weapons selection was very nice too. ^Blub^
Thanks for the comment, I wasnt that pleased with the arms when I gave up on it. I still think that in terms of quality its one of my best yet.
In the future I might repost it, and improve on some things. |

The body of the mech is pretty good, especially the head. It's my favorite part of the moc. However, the legs look a bit unusal and the right arm is a bit too long for me, it's a great moc.
Thanks for commenting.
I was going for a district 9 + miliary feel, and it would have looked better if I finished it, but I lost intrest after it was nerfed, and put a big thingy on the shoulder instead.
It would have looked better with a second arm, fingers, and the chain gun on the other shoulder. I might start working on it again now. |
