I may build like a maniac, but you built this at a speed I could not reach! Beautiful creations, I love that chameleon! I like the fact that you put a lot of details in the backgrounds... GL in R3, if we both make it to R4, that will be a tough matchup! PS are you french or dutch-speaking? Not that I don't enjoy speaking english, just out of curiosity... |

The buzz droid domes are about the most innovative part usage I've seen in a long time. Love the mud puppy too!
Funny you all mention that, I used it here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/318539 before and nobody seemed to notice. And that's how popular this contest is, and how close everybody pays attention! Thank you for your votes, dear judges. Keep up the good work and see you in round three!

I really like both of them... but what where for god's sake did you get that part you used as tounge...?
I got it as "payment" from Shannon Ocean for some Murdock CD's I sent him earlier this year. So basically, I haven't got a clue, but I've got my money on either Fabuland or Belville...

Sorry Gio, that piddly little fly just doesn't cut it. Unfortunately my vote goes to L... just kidding. Great work on this one! You've got my vote. I second all the comments below me. The buzz droid domes are about the most innovative part usage I've seen in a long time. Love the mud puppy too! |

That is absolutely fantastic! I love that chameleon! Great entry! But since Lee is a good friend of mine, I am supporting him. But still, this is sensational!
VERY curious on what he'll bring to the game. After all, this contest is about bringing out the best in you with unexpected building themes. And that's probably why I love this contest so much!

In my opinion, this is one of, if not the best MocOlympics entry yet this year. The axolotl is incredibly well done, and contrary to most people I far prefer it to the chameleon. Of course, the chameleon is amazingly well done as well. I love how you nailed the salamander-esque look of the axolotl, and the use of those orange bits is perfect. I also like the backgrounds that you built, they add a lot to the presentation. Awesome work, keep going like this and you'll win in no time.
That is a huge compliment, coming from such a talented builder like yourself, Luke. I have a few favorites around here myself, Finding Nemo in particular. The weed with the axolotl is directly inspired on that build. Thank you so much for your comment and good luck with your judges!

I rated this, back in the old days before text appeared (yesterday morning?) but i have to comment, 1. because it's a brilliant build mate, or more precisely two brilliant builds - I'd be very proud to have produced either of these. 2. The salami is hanging from the underside of a weed in the Axelotl background. Too easy. Well done Gio, very best of luck.
Actually there are seven... I will try harder to hide them next time, if there is a next time. They just look so nice on the weed.

Both of these are very skillfully built, I think the tranlucent fin is an exception even if it isn't a lego part. Either way, both creations are good, good luck to you! >_< |

Wow, excellent creatures Gio. They are perfect. I was going to say that that albino axolotl reminds me of the Mexican Walking fish we had in our school library... but then I researched them and found they were one in the same! The chameleon is spot on. He has such character, especially with that wonderful tongue and eye. |
