From Red Brick Saga #3 - Alien Conquest

This forced persepective cityscape was built for our Alien Conquest "Red Brick Saga" episode.

In reality, it's nothing more than a glorified backdrop -- the real focus of the shot is the invading aliens, and of course, the various Alien Conquest products. But, I like building everything with high detail, even if it is just the background. (I'm also mildly insane at times, like most creative-types.)

We used the #7067 Jet-Copter as a framing reference, since it had to be quick-built in the foreground.

Sometimes, the ideas we have exceed the amount of time we have to complete an animated video. Early concepts included putting PF lights inside all of the buildings.

We also considered adding a light-up "Alien Attack" ticker for one of the buildings, as seen in the #7051 Tripod Invader box art.

The buildings themselves were made up of dismantled parts of various LEGO City sets, including a number of the modular buildings.
