i really want to you to make instructions, but i really admire what Mr. Chris said about keeping it unique, i was about to make instructions for my own designs which are mini Warpath and mini Thundercracker (if you have time please could you check it out) so i am kind of tied, but i think you shouldn't put out designs. by the way That is one amazing Optimus Prime |

Thanks for your advice, Chris. I agreed with your opinion after thinking in discretion. So at this moment I am not going make instruction for it. I have to say sorry to Ronald and hope he or anyone can understand that. Wish the photos I put can be good references for anyone who like to build something like this.
|
|
|
don't make instructions Alex! This is a great piece of work that needs to remain unique. Speaking from experience, you don't want a bunch of clones of your stuff running around. I know all too well, i have many plagiarists who regurgitate my designs and don't give me credit for it and in most cases its a direct copy. Be careful who you give away your secrets to, just some friendly advice! |

Thanks Ronald. I had heaps of transformer toys when I was a kid and I chuck them all out rather than sold them, and now I really want to get them back.
I completely understand what you mean. Sure, I will try to take more shots for the building instruction. I will just see how much I can do because there is a lot of small pieces brick used to make the details of this transformer. I would say each small pieces of brick have it's function on it. For example, I never use 3 plates instead of 1 brick. I am not familar with the Lego Digital Designer otherwise I would do it throught the system. Just give me some time, say few days later and you will see more photos on this site to show how to build this Optimus.

I just got a MOCpages account to say how fantastic your Transformers creations are! I'm so jealous! A couple years ago I bought about 50 vintage G1 Transformers on Ebay because I had sold them all (except Optimus) when I was young. And I also bought a bunch of Technic Lego!
I don't want to beg for instructions but I will do it anyway. Will you ever make this world a better place by giving some instructions? Lots of times the builders of awesome creations don't want to make instructions because it takes a lot of time or some parts don't exist in the building software. But why not just take it apart 5-10 parts at a time and make a photo? Put some small stickers at the place they came from to make it even easier. If I ever make something worth while I'll try it out myself. And in this way you got it for yourself as well! A group of about 50 people all donate 10 euro for your efforts and to buy more Lego! Win win win situation!
I'm new to the Lego MOC scene so please forgive me if this is already done. I've seen it 1 time so I've not invented it.
Good idea people??
(your Jazz is also awesome!) |

Absolutely wonderful. This is the most accurate representation of Optimus I've seen on this site. Especially the head. I would know what you were building even if I didn't have the rest of the body to tip me off. The transformation looks pretty seamless. The legs are too short on a lot of LEGO transformers, but it looks like you got it right on this one. Very well done. |
