Serpent Steel scene 1: Routine Patrol
An excerpt from the journal of Corporal Jason Renfield, 225th DF Infantry, recovered shortly after Operation: Serpent Steel.
About this creation
Day 11 in-country: This is the sixth straight patrol in as many days. The rain finally stopped, but its still cold. I don't know what 'Serpent Steel' is supposed to accomplish, but the EA must not be very active in this sector 'cause we ain't seen nothin' since we arrived. We finally got some tanks from the 75th as escorts, they're not the heavy mechs we were promised, but no ones complaining! The TITAN assigned to our unit threw a track, so we got a little down time while the 'tread-heads' get 'er fixed up. I might even be able to sneak in a little shut-eye if Sgt. Chambers can keep the LT off my back!

"The Sarge spotted something over a ridge two klicks to our north. No rest for the weary I guess."

Corporal Renfield seems concerned that he's gonna miss his nap.

"It'll be finish when it's finished, Private!"

"As soon as Windows 23 finishes updating I'll tell you exactly where we are!"

Thanks White Knight! I had many of the original Castle and Classic Space sets when I was a kid, but modern and near future military is what inspires me to build.

Quoting Nightmaresquid This is an extremly excellent dio, I love the transition from the jungle to the road, thats what really caught my eye, The tank is of course awesome, and the troops look very organised. Its you best yet, good job.
Thanks for the comments! After seeing your new tank, Nightmare, I feel I should have added more sensors and radar. They make yours looks very "techy" for lack of a better word. As for the white uniforms, I use what I got! If I had alot more white tiles I would have made a snow scene. ;-)

Man, your tank looks great on the road, which is also really nice and realistic looking. My only complaint is that the soldiers are wearing white armor, which is simply a bad color for any person who cares about low visability. Besides that minor nitpick, all around awesome build.

Great work and use of SNOT on the road, the mini-figs are made in great detail, and I like how the grass banks curve upwards around the road!

A nice vignette and an excellent way to present your Titan tank. I love the shape of this vehicle, it really looks like a modern MBT. I like the details, such as the angles on the smoke grenade launchers and all of the spare equipment in the bustle on the turret.

While the base is simple, this moc is pretty awesome.

This is really cool! The Dawn Forge theme seems like they are pretty fun to build, I might have to take a whif at it soon. Anyway, great work here. I really like your simplistic landscaping but still looks fantastic and that tank is very nice as well. Cant wait for more and Im adding you to my favs! 5/5 -J.
