Yooper Deer Stand

As deer season approaches here in Northwest Michigan, I can make fun of our wonderful redneck counterparts, the Upper-Peninsulains (or Yoopers) north of the Mackinaw Bridge. I'm justified though. They're the ones that call us the trolls.
About this creation
This is not an uncommon sight in Michigan's Upper Peninsula: a run-down camper trailer hoisted up on some beams with a few Yooper hunters leaning out the windows watching for venison. Thanks to some prodding from Max Pointner, I've returned to the Yooper jokes and I hope to do a few more at some point. Enjoy!

The camper trailer was my favorite part of the MOC to build and I was really pleased with the result.

Thanks for stopping by, and Soli Deo Gloria!

Not much of a redneck myself (Woohoo San Diego!), but this build is great. very Duck Dynasty-esque. :-)

I didn't know that you lived in Michigan. I myself live in Michigan too! I also hunt, but not from a camper, and I don't live in the UP. Great moc I love the camper and the hunter sticking out.

What is the white circular thing on the trailer hitch below the window? A Bumper Dumper?

Quoting A M Excellent use of third-party products to create that rural atmosphere. The foliage is perfect. Your vignettes inspire me. On an unrelated note, I am new to Mocpages (no, I'm not going to ask you to comment on my Mocs). But I am going to ask for some advice: the simple uploader on my computer is not inputting the "chunks of HTML" that the Help pop-up claims it should. Any advice? Should I just download the Java app? Thank you.
Welcome to the community A M! It's good to have you here. I would try downloading the Java app. It's a little bit simpler than the "simple uploader" and it seems to work well. Give it a try.

Thanks for the comment, Robbie. The round thing is a propane tank. You can usually find them on the front of trailers like that.

This is great fun, though I didn't realise that it was something folk really did until I read you text. The hunter with the AK-47 looks a bit over-armed, or are the dear tough up there? The caravan is a very neat bit of building, especially the brick-built, offset door. The whole MOC made me smile and reminded me of this classic talk by David Sedaris: http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=NYdpte1W0vk&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DNYdpte1W0vk&gl=GB

Great work, Paul. Really gives me a chuckle. Looks like your yoopers could give our rednecks here in Ohio a lesson in turning a rundown trailer into something to kill things with;) Love the trailer, and the guy leaning out really sets the whole thing off. Well done as always. By the way, Star Wars Relativity is featured on my page right now. Check it out when you get a chance.
