Skargim stood before the great Orc cheiftan Kargin.
He looked around at the hoards of Goblins and in the midst of them he saw a very beautiful maiden. Where was he? The last thing he remembered was battling with the Orcs.
Kargin stood and walked toward the Dwarf.
Kargin: So Dwarf, what were you doing trespassing on my lands?
Skargim: I wasn’t. These aren’t your lands.
Kargin: Ha! That’s the best excuse I’ve heard since my last prisoner!
The Orcs began to form a circle around Skargim. One orc stepped into the middle of it.
Kargin: Where has he come from?
The Orc bent down and sniffed the Dwarf.
Orc: He’s been in the company of Elves! And Men! Not but two weeks ago!
Kargin grabbed a sword and was about to kill Skargim when he heard a shout.
Miluiel stood above a dead Orc with a spear in her hand. None of the Goblins noticed Skargim slip away and grab his axe.
Skargim came running through the ranks of Orcs hewing them down with his axe.
Skargim: Come lady!
The two ran down a tunnel trying to find an exit.
Kargin stood watching them, boiling with anger.
Kargin: After them!
The Orcs took off full speed down the hallway, ready to kill the escaped prisoners.
Skargim and Miluiel came to a split in the path.
Miluiel: Which way do we go?
Skargim: I don’t know. Do you think that because I’m a Dwarf I know my way around every tunnel in Middle-Earth?
Miluiel: No- Well, yes.
Skargim: You’re wrong. We take the right.
They ran down the passage with a torch they had found and saw a light at the end.
They had almost reached the end when a large form landed in their way, blocking the exit.
Skargim looked closer and noticed that it was a spider.
Skargim: Spider!
Miluiel: Great! What do we do?
Skargim: We turn back!
Miluiel: Goblins!
Skargim: We’re trapped between Goblins and a Spider!
