Somewhere in the Atlantic, the U.S.N. Yellow Fin fusion-powered attack sub is locked in mortal combat with legendary Sea Wraith. After multiple salvos and decisive maneuvers both combatants have literally placed themselves in a point-blank standoff at the bottom of a deep chasm. The only witnesses to this epic match are the monstrous tube-worms, sea anemones, and a humongous crustacean waiting perhaps, to dine on the vanquished, which ever that may be!

Absolutely outstanding! I don't know how I missed this when it was first posted. The subs look fantastic, especially the yellow one. Reminds me a bit of something that Captain Nemo would be running around in, rather than Ringo Starr;) I like how you used so many of the Hero Factory pieces to pull it off. The underwater scenery looks great as well, right down to the giant shrimp. (That is a shrimp, right)? Either way, great work.

Wow, great way to play to your strengths with those subs!
Thanks for the feedback, to me a sub is just an underwater spaceship so it worked for this one. |

Best of luck in the competition! If I lose I won't mind too terribly bad, because I've been wanting to build some MOCs and also continue on my comic series.
I've checked out some of your stuff and you defiinitely have talent to be proud of! I hope to have my MOC up in a day or two and we'll see what the judges think of or work. |

Congrats! Have fun in round 2! :)
Thank you my friend. To be honest though, I don't think I stand much of a chance of making it to R3. The category I pulled for R2 is way outside my usual building zone and if my oppponent is even as half as good as I think he is then I'm up the creek! |

A score of 48 huh? I figured I'd be lucky to scrape by with a score that would of brought me in at 64th place. Now the real battle begins! |

Great subs, but I must say I'm liking the Sea Wraith much more! Cool scenery to complete the presentation! Most excellent!
You're not the first to say that but my selection of yellow is kind of wierd in the parts I have. If I tried to build a system based yellow sub it would come out pretty boring and not worthy of a R2. As far as the Sea Wraith goes, that was literally a last minute filler I threw together to fill in the scenery. Guess it worked out better than I planned huh? Most importantly though, thanks for the comments. It's good to know that I can still slap together a MOC that's worth half a rats arse at least! |

Now those are a bunch of subs you don't get to see too often! Indeed, what Barto said: put these on a galaxy background and you get a starwars alternate world. Oh, and I love what you did with the plantlife on the base; very nice! Good luck with your judges!
Kind words my friends, kind words. Thank you. I still need a whole lot of training with photoshop first. The last couple of times I tried to do it were disasterous to put it mildly! |

Nice work. I think I actually prefer the grey sub a little more.
In some ways I do too. I admit it at least looks like a sub. The Yellow Fin looks like the builder was getting a little too literal with the Beatles concept. He must been dropping some Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, maybe. |

Thanks Parrington. I'll still write storylines where it's appropriate but for contests it just tkes too much time, at least for me. I hope the scenery is good enough. That's always been a struggling point for me in my builds. Guess we'll see soon enough. |
