Vanilla Ice's classic hit Ice Ice Baby may not be considered as an example of the best lyrics ever rapped, however there is one line which stands out as surrealistically spectacular: Dance, go rush the speaker that booms, I'm killing your brain like a poisonous mushroom. Has there ever been a better inspiration for my style of MOC. Let me set the scene. General Amadeus has saddled up his Roller-Bot and along with a gaggle of mushroom attack droids making headway for an Outer Reach Research Team neural hub. His intention to drop two deadly fungal spore bombs and take control of the Research Team's data network.

Great build, David. Love the colors that you used. The mushrooms are well-build. I like the fact that the ORRT has an enemy aside from oversized trapdoor spiders and the like. Nice work and good luck in the M.O. |

Surreal! I like the chassis/legs of the vehicle, I think it's continues shapes from some of your other vehicles. The ORRT boys shouldn't be too worried, "Guns don't kill people, Rappers do!", to quote the Goldie Lookin' Chain.
Well they all use the same tech - sorry I should say bricks. ;) |

Gotta love that roller-bot, and well done for spotting that seriously weird line! Hope to see more of your unique style in Round 2!
The crazy thing is I thought lots of people would notice that line, and that I'd better get my mushroom MOC out before anyone else. |

Doh, I was thinking too deeply there, I was sure it was some arcane bionicle reference. |

Well now... That is positively frightening. I am quite scared of fungus, despite my being a fungi, (Please tell me you get the joke). That is a really well made MOC, I just am really quite scared of the whole mushroom thing... I've had some bad experiences with them...
Thanks Gale - sorry I don't get the joke. Please explain I'm really intrigued. |

Very neat mech! The whole thing has a spiffy retro look to it.
I removed the full surround cab for the open top retro look. Those roller skates on the bot are pre-inline skate, and probably per-roller boot. It's a shame one of the song titles wasn't Cliff Richard's wonderful ode to roller skates and Sony Walkmans 'Wired for Sound'. |

"Anything less than the best is a felony". Well this is no felony. Loving the inspiration that people are drawing from these categories - Vanilla Ice to classic space in one step. Well done and good luck!

Yo Dave kick it one time Boy! This is brilliant and these categories are fantastic. That Roller-Bot must be a 5.0 with its rag top down so his hair can blow. Good luck my friend.
The irony was that old vanilla's hair would never blow in the wind - and the less said about the Madonna book the better. |

word to your mother.
Kids used to shout that at me back in the day. In sixth form (aged 17) I sported a Morrissey quiff as was my want at the time, and the younger kids used to taunt my indie poise with random Vanilla Ice quotes. |
