I suggest listening to the song whilst looking at this moc: Ring of Fire.
The song Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash is about love. My creation is not. The song has a Mexican feel to it so this just felt right. I present to you Chilli Night. I am not going to explain this any further so if you do not get it then that is probably for the best. But lets just say “it burns burns burns the ring of fire, the ring of fire”.
The 9 x 9 base.
A one plate 'shadow gap' gives the impression that the base is floating. I am sure there is a joke in there somewhere ;).
View of the rear showing the simple SNOT techniques used to attach the sink, toilet and cistern. As you can see I ran out of 1 x something tan bricks so I had to use 2 x something bricks.
The poor victim.
Ok I apologise for the uncouth toilet humour but I just couldn’t resist it. I absolutely love the song, it has cult status and as soon as I read the categories it pooped (sorry popped) into my head, and I couldn’t build anything else. Believe it or not it took me two nights to build this. I tried many variations including his trousers (pants) being blown off but it felt too cluttered. I also had a more detailed bathroom wall design but again it was just too busy. So I kept it simple.
Hahaha, that's me every Saturday morning! And it's worth it every time. Gotta have spicy food! The build itself is perfect, just the right amount of detail that the focus stays on the victim, er, subject, and isn't distracted by the surroundings until the viewer has enjoyed the focus of the build. Very well done.
Good day fine sir! I had posted addressing you when the categories were announced, but it went into moderation. Apparently the filter doesn't like our topic's Author. :/ Anywho, it is a real pleasure to be dueling with such a fine swordsman as yourself....even if you are a mere mortal! :P I look forward to seeing your take on the topic, and wish you the best of luck!
You're trough, but I've expected some more points, though? Anyway, congrats, and go for it! Much greetings! (I've become 2 in the endresult of the slalom-season!, I am truly really happy with that unexpected result. And no, there isn't any financial bonus in that! None whatsoever !) :-)
I think it was a good decision to keep it simple. Sometimes less is more and not many people are strong-minded enough to go with a lighter design after they created something complicaded. Well done, Sir.
Hehe, cool beans! Now this is just perfect - the way he looks, the way he moves, the "atmosphere" of the whole thing. Very funny. Great idea, great PU, great MOC - couldn't be done better. Good luck in the contest!
Excellante! Toilet humor is so underrated. If it is considered juvenile, remember that it's never too late to have a happy childhood. ;) My only issue with the build is that cantina restrooms are NEVER that clean (Please don't ask how I know.) Keep it up!
Thank you all for the supportive and funny comments. I really did not expect this reaction. I just finished my first day of a new job and to come back to this was a great surprise. Thank you so much and good luck all.
HA!!! Joe, this is hilarious! I'm loving this humor edge that you've had to your MOCs recently. The expression and posture of the fig is priceless. The bathroom is well crafted and this may be the best use of the fire to date. Well done, sir.
Wow thanks everyone :D. Just got back from work to all these wonderful and funny comments. So glad you like it and that you are not appalled by my lowbrow humour. I really hope it will get me to R2, but I am sure there will be many fantastic entries much more detailed than this. Fingers crossed and good luck to all.
..... Wow... I would say that was royal flush, but that might be a hot subject. This does remind me of one night after eating about nine White Castle burgers though... *Shivers* baaaddd juju.... Very well built though. I like the simplicity and yet the details that are in there. I do feel quite bad for your poor victim, but serves him right for not listening to me when I said those jalapenos were bad.
Great job man! Small and simple, does the trick! Completley unlike my entry, which at the moment has the largest component measuring at 51 studs long 12 wide and 30 tall! And that's not really the focus of the creation ;)
That is hilarious! Defiantly my brand of humor. You need to listen to 'The Thunder Rolls', a parody of Thunder Road about the after effects of eating taco-bell. Punch it into youtube, trust me, if your the kinda guy to make a build like this, it's worth your time.
Quoting Lego Builders
Oh yeah, I meant hot. Haha Due to the BL orders, I probably won't finish until Monday or Tuesday. In case you're interested, it's got a base of 22×34. -LB Jr.
Wow dude, that sounds awesome. I only needed the figure for this vig and the order came the next day, so I could post it very early. Lucky really because I start a new job tomorrow and I won't have a lot of building time.

Ha, that's cool! I love the toilet technique. Good luck - I hope you get to round two! My own entry is 90% finished; I've just sent in a couple of BL orders that should finish it. -LB Jr.
Cool! don't you mean hot? ;). Great I cant wait to see it. Good luck my friend
Ha, ha! Before this I only associalted 'ring of fire' with the song and of course, a geological area. I'm so glad you pulled this off with such... ah... grace?! It's a great one... humour and build-wise! Loadsa Luck! :)
