An experiment in Legohaulic's character style, this sophisticated elderly gentleman is smoking his pipe in his favorite chair and discussing the times. Enjoy!
About this creation
I would be posting some of my new vignettes, but I've been prevented by something of an "If You Give a Moose a Muffin" conundrum. You see, I like to shoot my vignettes on a clean white background. But this requires my nice lighting set up which is currently being used for several weeks on another project and can't be disturbed. (Stay tuned for an upcoming sneak peak at that project.) In the mean time, however, I've been experimenting with other sorts of building genres like Legohaulic's famous macro-scale figures.
The inspiration for Fred came from the nose. I started with the nose and everything else fell into place. The eyes are sunken into his head using a half-stud offset, and two sized arch elements on the side of his face add to the aged and gaunt, while still playful visage of the character.
The chair was a throw-together, but I'm quite pleased.
I have never seen another MOCer use tires so amazingly... and so frequently! You have a knack for incorporating those hard-to-use pieces that frustrate the rest of us so much. Congratulations to you (and Fred)!
