On September 9th, 2001, America suffered terrorist attacks. We lost many lives that day, and as one nation, we mourned together. 11 years later, America has changed drastically, and we look back as a turning point for America. Although we have moved on, we can never forget that dreadful day, and now I honor those that were lost in the best way I know how…
Anyone can run away from a fire, but it takes real bravery to run into it…
To all of the 343 firefighters who sacrificed their lives to save hundreds, we will always be grateful…
To all of the 1,609 people who lost a spouse or partner, and to the 3,251 children who lost a parent, we will hold your loved ones in our hearts forever…
And to all 2,723 people killed during the attacks, you will NEVER be forgotten…
