About this creation
Our story starts in Middle-Earth, in the shire:

It's the day of Bilbo Baggins 111th birthday and all Hobbits of Hobbiton preparing the party.
When Mr. Bilbo Baggins of Bag End announced that he would shortly be celebrating his eleventy-first birthday with a party of special magnificence, there was much talk and excitement in Hobbiton."

On the left side Gandalf cross The Water with his carriage:

In his carriage he has of course his firework:

Frodo : "You're late."
Gandalf : "A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."

Next to the big tree is the fairground:

The preparations for the party are already in full swing:

On the right side are the Hobbit-Burrows.

The undermost burrow:

The middle burrow with a red door:

And the highest burrow, Bag End:

Bilbo follow from his terrace the go on:

Some more Details:
A special highlight is Bag End, that has an removable roof to show the interior:

My Hobbiton was displayed on the "SteineWahn 2012" in Berlin.

I'm glad to say, that it won the price of the 3rd best MOC. :)

Because of the long way to the exhibition, i build it modular.
Together:

Apart:

I build five moduls in diffrent sizes.
Here you can see the base frame of one modul:

All moduls were transportet in boxes (not all boxes are Hobbiton, but the most):

To save space i stacked to of the moduls:

At least some facts abot the MOC:
Buildingtime: ca. 3 Months
Size: 64cm x 160cm x 30cm
As a little joke i hide Gollum on the right side of the MOC in his hollow:

Don't miss to watch the Video !
Enjoy it!
Thanks for watching and reading!

This is on the top of my favorite mocs now. I love when people make huge landscape MOCs like this, but this one is even better, because it has so many little details that make it awesome. You did a really nice job of all the trees, and the idea for the benches is genius! The details in Bag end are really awesome. I love the candles and the smallest table in there. How did you make that table? It's amazing... :) |

This is an awesome moc! I dont know too much about LOTR so I am wondering how someone can live to be 111 and still be young. I am a bit confused so I would love if you would explain.
Bilbo found a magic Ringe, the one Ring. The Ring causes, that his body doesn't get older.
I hope you understand it now. ;)

Excellent work! The detail that stood out to me most was the harness on Gandalfs horse. Still can't figure out how it works XD
Maybe it helps if i tell you that i used a black handcuff at the horse neck. ;)

Wow, cool, great to see this one finally here on the pages! It was even better to see it "live" in Berlin and meet you in person. This is a well deserved winner and with all the great models there a third place is something to be very proud of. Congratulations! Bilbo's chair is still my favourite detail (very clever parts usage!!!) Great job! :-)) |
