MOC Olympics Entry!
About this creation
MOC Olympics Home Page
Category: Ice Ice Baby (all of the categories were song names)
Meet Jim. Well, stare at his house. Jim lives in space. It's incredibly expensive, and as a result, his (not-really-summer) house is prohibitively small. But don't let the outer appearance fool you. Once you step through the atmospheric containment forcefield, the house is lavishly decorated (for something of its size). It's very different from Jim's earth house. Why, you ask? Because it's in space *pause for reader to palm their forehead*.
So what's Jim's catchphrase? "Ice, Ice, Baby". He heard it in a song years decades before and thinks that it makes him cool saying it. How wrong he is. To show just how "cool" he is, he made sure to order (almost) everything built in White with Clear Blue Windows. Because that's how he rolls.

Jim, as a wealthy and successful businessman, loves to dress up in a Star Wars costume and wear it everywhere - as 95% of successful businessmen do. Businesswomen can only dress up as characters from Battlestar Galactica, by law. He drives a Lotus Class-ISSD (It's A Space Ship, Dumbass) space ship. Because it's a Lotus, it's incredibly expensive while being small (many would say this is representative of the anatomy of its drivers). The ship costs approximately 800,000,000 Yen (the only valid currency on the planet since the crash of the Austro-Canadian Market) and has a 2 second warranty (hence the slogan - "it's yours now, sucker!").

Design Notes/Commentary: I wasn't sure whether to enter this in the MOC Olympics. It was designed for AstroBrick (clarification - I built this after joining and signing up for the MOC Olympics, I merely intended it for another purpose), which is proceeding quite nicely (we're designing a 3D LEGO Game, which is legal provided we don't charge for it or use their logo/claim to be TLC). If you would like to design models for the game or compose music, tell me so somewhere. Anyhow, I noticed my attempt at a Super Car done weeks before. I realized that it would be awesome with this. Fortunately, I hate cheating, so I made a new ship to go with it. I think it actually goes better because it makes more sense. I'm sorry if the attempt at comedy was off-setting - I wrote this at 10:37 PM because I seem to work best when I should be asleep (by that I mean I want to sleep, not that my parents try to make me sleep). I regret the fact that I didn't have a better doorway thing. I'm going to justify that right now by saying that the forcefield extends around whoever is entering and then opens up, allowing them to pass through.
Please rate/comment! Good luck to all other entrants!

I like the house design, quite bright and simplistic. Although I do feel that your link to the category was a little weak. Well, good luck in the MOs. |

Lotus's are relatively cheap though ;) Great work though, love the house!
Thanks! I have no idea how I'm supposed to find the prices of cars, so I just picked a car brand that's rather rare (where I live) and looks like a sports car. |

@SuperSpy X I did read the full description. I just didn't realize Chris was allowing people to still join after the categories were released. There's no problem getting a bit of clarification from the BUILDER. If I wanted info from the peanut gallery, I would have asked YOU directly. I highly suggest you tone down your attitude. |

@Heath: read the end description WELL! @BF2: it's a nice entry, but it doesn't quite fit the category I think. Would've been nice to see some interior shots. Good luck. |
