BIONICLE!

About this creation

Askeros is a Toa of Gravity. Unlike most Toa, he truly works alone, having been left for dead by his team after recklessly assaulting the base of the Makuta. However, he survived, and when he came into contact with Energized Protedermis he grew larger and more bestial (as well as receiving a change of colors). He since ran off to the island of Dexus. There he encountered a group of Matoran hiding in the wilderness from a Skakdi invasion. He pledged to defend them. Due to perhaps the Energized protodermis, he has abandoned the Toa code, and kills Skakdi mercilessly.

Askeros' controls Gravity. He is proficient in the use of targeted Gravity surges, dropping enemies to their knees in order that he may decapitate them with his sharp claws. He also is powerful enough that he can manipulate Gravity in order to fly and increase his own speed. Askeros' originally wore the Mask of Invisibility, but Energized Protodermis transformed it into a Mask of Strength, adding to his already bestial powers.

Design Notes:
I absolutely love BIONICLE - almost as much as I love Star Wars. I've never really been a great BIONICLE builder due to lack of practice. This is one of my first tries at imitating the styles I've seen here. It could still use some improvement (which I'll probably do). One thing I don't like about BIONICLE stuff I see is that the Toa are made to be as tall as this guy or taller. I realize that TLC did the same thing but it just feels ridiculous.
