The Mexon was created by a young Ta-Matoran named Takaru after the Matoran journeyed back to Metru Nui.
It has an advanced AI, and several defensive/offensive features. It can also be driven manually.
UPDATES: Bulkier upper torso armor, completely redesigned right arm, Better look Hip Joints and Support for legs...
More armor and more detail on the feet...
Redesigned Upper Legs...
Stiffened arm joints, and of course overall more detail on the whole MOC, including this arm.
The brain, which looks like the eye of the mech has a smaller, more portable form, when the use of brute force isn't needed.
Which is detached off of the chest plate.
This smaller portable form is usually found floating near by Takaru, like a personal bodyguard.
It also has grown attached to his maker Takaru, and remains loyal to him.
The new Plasma Rifle: Now with a hand!
The function of this arm was created by Takaru, which uses multiple power converters to convert the dormant elemental power inside of the matoran, to real, usable elemental energy. The drawback is, It has its limits. Once the Matoran inside has used his elemental power up, The firearm then is useless besides the brute strength of the arm. They need to wait for it to recharge, or they could put their hands inside a fire to make them recharge faster. (With of course fireproof gloves.)
The only person at the moment that knows how to drive the Mexon is Takaru himself. Takaru is an inventor who was born in Metru Nui before the Great Cataclysm. During that life as a student, he drew many designs of his elemental energy converter, but never collected enough funds to make it. After the Matoran returned to Metru Nui, he found the designs in his old apartment, which was surprisingly still intact. He started to make it, but could never get his hands on the finishing and most vital parts. In my series, Corroding Away, it will be revealed how he got the Mexon finished
His Fire Glove, which was based off of the same design as the Mexon's Fire Arm
He also has his own personal lab in the Resistance's base, which I will be uploading soon.
The Mexon is about a Toa and a Matoran high.
How to put Takaru in:
STEP 1. Open cockpit
STEP 2. Flip out tubes
STEP 3. Flip open foot holds
STEP 4. Take off Takaru's Extra Armor
STEP 5. Put Takaru in!
STEP 6. Close cockpit
And there we go! Also, the Mexon can only use the fire-arm when Takaru is piloting.
Look! It's a giant with a tiny matoran head!
Now for some action poses!
Hope you liked it!
Fourth Wall Commentary
I've been very focused on making this MOC look good, while still being functional. I definitely knew I needed more bulk on the upper torso, as well as a better right arm. The design was based off the left, to balance the symmetry a tad bit more. I did need more than friction joints though, thanks to that huge plasma rifle. At the moment, It still needs support from that tube to keep the arm up.
I will be fixing that. I'm pretty satisfied with the way it came out, especially the fact that it is a whole lot easier to put Takaru in. It used to be a pain.
I hope you enjoyed the MOC! It would be highly appreciated if you give some feedback!
Thanks for all the feedback! I think you're right about the connections to the shoulder, but the tip of the gun, if you take out the red #2 axle, it looks like some type of high voltage electric rifle. I dunno, I guess that was what I was going for. Maybe next time I'll try a cannon or something like that. Thanks! ;)
A creative mech MOC? Kewl.
Anyway, let's get the bad here so you can work on it a bit.
The plasma rifle is uninspired. It doesn't seem like a gun to me. It looks more like a fancy beating stick. It needs a more powerful look, and a more gun look.
Shoulders need to be connected a bit farther in to continue the bulky look. Right now, it's just awkward.
Other than those 2 things, good MOC. No, great MOC. NO, FANTASTIC MOC!!

Really amazing updates, this just went from impressive to over the top ! Really great details, and I'm soo happy you decided to show everything and even how to put Takaru inside. Also, the photography keeps getting better. Always loved the Mexon, but you have definable pushed the limits of awesome :)
Yeah, I made a new lightbox! It is much better than the old one.
Thanks for the comment! ;)

Brilliant MOC here. The thing looks like a rusty, battle worn golem. I really enjoy how the Matoran can ride in it, Exo-Toa style. This would've been a great entry into the exo-suit category of the Bio-Cup. 5/5
