Here lies Balin, son of Fundin, lord of Moria...
Hey guys! I'm back with a new Heroica map!
I got inspired by playing a few cool video games that involved LOTR. It took me about 2 hours to make.
A picture of the whole map.
This map is only for a maximum of 3 players, if you were wondering.
The first part of the map is supposed to be part of the mines of Moria or even part of the dwarven city, Dwarrowdelf.
A giant spider guards the bridge.
The entrance to the tomb. It is guarded by goblins and has 2 potions, one for each side.
The strength potion.
The health potion.
The doorway, guarded by a goblin warrior.
A shot of the tomb.
Hey look! A statue. I wonder if that helmet comes off....
A re-roll potion. The effect of it is very self-explanatory.
Another shot of the tomb.
The boss, the goblin general (strength of 3). He guards the relic, the staff of Gandalf. This relic heals all of your HP when shield is rolled, without using up your turn.
Another shot of the tomb.
Some more photos...
Hey! How'd he get there?!
Alternatively, there is another boss, my microscale cave troll. It has a strength of 3 and requires 3 hits to kill; the first 2 shots de-arm it (literally) and the last shot finishes it off.
Some more photos of the troll.
I also added a new hero in this map, the king of savages! (You might know him from my other map, Land of Savages) He has the same skills as the barbarian but he also get alternatively to his shield power, 1 gold instead of moving.
COMIC!!!!! XD The warrior is off to a good start, slaying a giant spider.
He collects some gold.
The King of Savages boosts ahead and easily dispatches of the spider...
as well as some goblins.
As he picks up a strength potion, the knight comes past, heading for the door. In his haste, he forgets the health potion.
After killing the guard he steps into the tomb. So many goblins! You can just hear him say:"Oh, crap!"
But, the knight leads the charge, with the King of Savages right behind him.
The KOS (King of Savages) gets through 2 goblins after getting knocked down by a goblin warrior.
The knight eventually gets ambushed by a giant spider..
although he owned the other monsters.
The KOS manages to defeat the goblin warrior and quickly goes up to the statue:"The Helmet of Protection is mine!"
I think he looks pretty cool with that helmet on!
The two are now faced with a final challenge, the cave troll.
The knight manages to hit the troll once and the arm crashes to the ground!
But, using it's remaining arm, the troll uses it's club to send the knight flying across the room!
He lands with a crack, looking very dead.
The KOS seizes his chance and attacks the troll.
Yes! Another blow is landed on the troll.
The knight tries to make a final dash but..
The KOS has already claimed the win.
The relic is now the KOS'. I hope he likes it!

Wow, where does the time go? I completely forgot about the contest. this is a very nice map; you can keep it for this month's contest if you want. I'll be adding my "Gates of Elstruck" board.
Check out my Balin's Tomb now! It has been edited! XD
You should have an option to interact with the tom b (which is also a moral dilemma if you think about it): You should be given the option to raid it. To balance out if there is a relic inside, possibly put a curse on it for your bad morals.
