WARNING: SOME PICTURES MAY NOT BE FOR THOSE WHO VIEW TRANS RED TILES AND STUDS AS OFFENSIVE AND/OR DISTURBING, ETC. If this offends anyone, I am sorry, but I don't find LEGO blood offensive. Real blood, however, BLAAAAA!
I don't think the thumbnail does it justice, please look at the whole thing. It is better than it looks, and there are some interesting techniques. :) Here is my best moc posted. I am not really in classic castle, but Lenfald is my faction anyway, and bandits are terrible. Some new techniques in here...I think the bandit hammer, I am sure the arrow slit with pipe inside...go farther on to see...and I think the overlapping tile path. Enjoy! (also, two alternate models for this---a church and a spooky tower thing.) Give credit for any of my techniques.
About this creation
So, here is my best moc so far. I really like it, It turned out awesomely for me, and there are actually a few techniques that haven't been used from what I know yet. Enjoy!
My tree. Simple, but it looks great! To me. The top leaves are actually not attached to anything but eachother.
Here are the back bandits attacking.
Here is a bandit being hit by an arrow. I've never seen that blood effect used before. It's okay.
Here is a beggar, who is really worried and not sure what he got into. Bandits? Knights? Arrows? All he wants is some spare change!
Here is a drunk gorilla in the back of the model. Just a fun little detail.
If you can see it, I used a city head with red sunglasses to make the gorilla's eyes bloodshot.
Here is the door in the back. The inside of the tower is not for minifigs, and is full of ugly technic tubes and stuff, so I put black 2x2s in to give the impression of a dark doorway.
Here is the towertop with the Lenfald colours.
The roof is 5 studs wide, so, since the cone is 4x4, it won't fit nicely. Therefore, it is put on loosely and...here is a "play feature"...You find gold inside! Yeah!
Archers, ready to fire ontop of the wall that is integrated into the tower.
An archer, rogue bandit who turned traitor, since he's cool looking, and a hevily armored Lenfald soldier in the background.
A bandit, who is about to die. His puny club is NO match for the quality weaponry of Lenfald!
Here is the noble Lenfaldian, about to deliver the final blow!
Alternate model church.
The formidable looking but kindly priest.
A traveler, searching for spiritual guidance and shelter.
The path. Notice the overlapping tiles going down the hill, a technique I've never seen before. Give credit please!
The Lenfald victory! The utter defeat of the puny, weak, uncivilized bandits.
The archers doing a 3 arrow salute, or a congo line. Your choice.
Axe limbo. 'How low can you go without getting beheaded?'
Interpretive spear dancing. Never heard of stick dancing until recently, but I thought it would be interesting to do spear dancing.
The drunken gorilla dancing on a wall with his bottle and his chicken.
The ninja. He's to grumpy and boring to be celebrating. See those grouchy eyes?
The halberd dude is pole vaulting over the corpses.
The elf is feeling suddenly very generous to the beggar...sorry for bad picture.
Ditto and beggar with worried and very happy face.
Ditto and gorilla. Note the peg legs arrow to the leg.
The priest, traveler, and random kitty.
So here is the story for the following pictures...Door to door salesmen were traveling around scamming people. They found this old tower. The yellows saw something was wrong, but the idiotic fleshie looks reassuringly over his shoulder, as fiery winged death comes swooping in....
Note the thinner arrow slit technique! Mine! I'm pretty much positive of it! So, GIVE CREDIT! I used a 1x2 brick with horizontal clip, a small pipe piece, and you see the rest.
