Dragon Castle!
Yup, my largest castle yet, with a dragon to boot! :D My first dragon yet, maybe with more to come in the future... Magma was inspiration forthe dragon. Sorry about any bad pictures, I'm still working on getting the dark background right...
About this creation

Nick V's awesome wing technique! Unfortunately, he hasn't posted the MOC yet- I saw it at the Lego Annual Brick Show ,and never figured out how it worked... Now I do :) and, boy, is it hard! I can now understand why you couldn't get it to work for your dragon on the day- it is fiddly as!
The wings must have taken me 2 hours... His wings were around 20 times bigger... for each wing!!! :|___|

LOVE the tower. Thanks to LWC Guy for helping me with the design :) I managed to get an epic angle on the tower- check it out in the arial shot :)

see how I got the angle? sorry for the blurry pic :3

so its a 1x2 slope piece, which has a hollow stud. the normal 1x2 brick, with the tube on the inside, fits into it nicely... from there, its easy :)

I was planning on doing more, but I ran out of pieces, time, and patience :P

sideways pic??? wha? sorry!

aaarrrgggh! also sideways?!!?!?!

note the tower angle :)

LOVE how I got the roof attatched :)

if you own this piece, the base for the large evil Agent's robot, you'll know it has these thin edges. These fit nicely into 1x2 grill pieces!

artistic shot to end :)

Magma! , inpiration for the Dragon!

I hope you all enjoyed!

God bless you all!

~Tim~

Wow Tim, that is superb! That is one fantastic dragon. But yes, as you said, the pictures don't do justice. Keep experimenting and I'm sure you will get it right eventually. -LB Senior

The dragon has some interesting articulation, but the best part for me is the wing technique, it is a great way to get an organic shape.

Quoting Caleb (Back!) Okay, well, would you like me to just rate yours low so that in goes off the homepage? It's annoying man, I worked extremely hard on that thing, and just because YOU don't like the plot, it's not going to get half the likes it deserves.
bro, I didn't rate it low so it would go off the homepage. I rated it low because I thought it wasn't good enough. Look, I'm sorry for you, but you should deal with this like a man, not a spoilt 5YO kid.

Quoting Deus Otiosus If you want your sideways pictures to look normal, try exchanging the height and width values in the HTML code, it does not do it automatically. About your MOC: if you ever intend to do more dragons, there are a few beginner tips - choose a very realistic or a very magical colour (black, green, dark tan... or red, blue, yellow...) and be consistent with it. Never use gray, because everybody knows taht gray is easy to work with. Red is the best, becasue it has a suprising variation in small detail bricks that are also very common, while pwople still see it as a greater feat than it is. Secondly, the head is the first part the viewer will look at and needs to leave a good impression, so if the head is not amazing, do not use it. Third, you should have your signature detail/technique, through which people can instantly recognize your work. Borrowing techniques is not wrong as it is, but you have to move on as fast as you possibly can. And also, I do not like the castle. I would also like to add that if you have low quality pictures or improperly uploaded sideways pictures or any other problem, apologizing for it will only work with people who want you to comment back, while people who are actually interested in what they look at, will quickly be turned away.
thank you very much for the honest criticism. It is much appreciated, and I will take it to heart. I agree with everything you said. Cheers, Tim

Quoting Magma ! Yay! I threw you in acid and you made a dragon inspired by mine! Thanks! It's neck is great! But you could do better with the rest. Trey to avoid using these click-hinges on the tail. There are plenty of techniques which look good and don't require many pieces. But I like the rest of the dio!
hahaha! I'm just gracious! XD yeah, I know I could do better, with the whole MOC, actually, I just wasn't bothered for some reason :P

Epic battle scene! You're dragon is really good, that wing design really steps it up and your tower is awesome as well! My favorite part is the way you did the bridge and the line of fire in front of the castle (Im assuming that was courtesy of the dragon?) Awesome work. 5/5 - J.

Quoting LWC guy Nice job mate! That roof O.O Really cool, but the whole thing is a bit flat and straight, you need to interestify the landscape a bit, and the castle is just a flat wall. Very nice tower, though!

Awesome techniques all around. I myself was fiddling with that wing technique before I decided that it would be to weak for any practical purpose. It's a great technique, but I personally think it looks a bit odd on this dragon. Great job though, I love the tower.
