Micro-scale Castle of Helm's Deep
Pretty cool, huh?
About this creation
Alright everyone, here's my entry in the LOTR contest (for those of you who don't know what i'm talking about, their main page can be found at http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/21459 )

It's pretty much self-explanatory... Just a quick mini-model of the Castle of Helm's Deep. I made it over the period of about three hours, but I think I did pretty good. The hardest part was probablythe stairs... getting the right curve was tough! Also, some of the details are kind of inaccurate, but I did what I could.

PLEASE leave a comment! I'v been kind of dissapointed with the lack of comments on my creations lately. Thanks!

Excellent mini-castle! I think you're real good with microscale building; those stairs leading up to the main keep look great. I like the walls as well. 5/5 :D Cheers!

Actually, I already did. HOWEVER, I still have all the pieces that I needed to build it, so I COULD look at the pictres and see if I can remake it. Guess I better hop to it! Wish me luck! I will update it as a new creation, so stay tooned!
News Flash, folks: Sadly, I won't be able to rebuild it as planned... Because I'm making a Midi-scale Castle at Santarica instead! I'll show some of the teqniques I used in the original full-scale version! So don't go anywhere!

Quoting Ru Corder Wow, this is great! Some great techniques. Please tell me you haven't taken it apart yet, I really want to see it in some clear photos! 8/10

I would have given this a five but for the background. It's an awesome microscale, but the presentation hurts it a lot. I would suggest taking pictures outside in the shade for great lighting. For now, 4/5.

Quoting George Marshall This is EPIC! The stairs, rocks formations, and, well, the castle itself is just awesome! My only suggestion, and I'm sure you have heard this one before, looking at some of your other mocs, but these pictures are very grainy. If you could get a white background (This is very easily made, just by using a white sheet or blanket), and a few lights, and maybe a better camera, would make your pictures look ALOT better. I know you may not be able to get a new camera, but with a few dollars and some household items listed above, you could make this moc from being a great moc, to being an excellent moc! Good luck in the contest!
I feel like i've heard this before... Anyway, I was kind of in a rush, and the only camera I have that can upload it's pictures to the computer is my dad's iPod, and that's why my photos are so grainy. As for the background, The closest thing I have to a white sheet is the grey sheet you see me use in my other creation, the HMS Cantalever. However, i may be able to buy a new one... I'll see what can be done!

Nice work. The castle looks great, but the background, or lack thereof, really brings down the presentation. 6.5/10.
