About this creation

What: Build a statue that would be found in a monster cemetery and would stand on a tomb or some sort of center piece. The statue must be a footprint of a maximum 8X8. Smaller is fine, height has no restrictions, and overhang is fine.

This statue was inspired by the one and only Barrel Man. While he looks gentle, there's a monster inside that barrel ... never mind ...

Special thanks to Heath Flor for providing some of the tan 1x1 round plates!

Cool! May the best man win! --Jesus saves, God bless <>< John 3:16- "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

I thought I commented on this already but I guess not. Sorry about that. Any hoot, this is definitely trophy in and of itself. I'd take this over an Oscar any day (I could really use the parts, heh, heh)!

Love the sculpting of the face, the pose, the source (my folks had one of these when we were kids!) and the excellent base, but is it stretching the 'monster' definition a bit far? Great build though mate. I'll post my vote in the group.

Pretty cool, I think the fact you got the legs to stick on is amazing, I most certainly would have collapsed at the thought of having to do it. 5/5 (Fav builder?)

Hey, just as long as it's not MY turn in the barrel... AGAIN! I'm pretty sure that the list for that is getting rigged... Is it normal to have 7 turns in a row? Wait, we're talking about a different barrel here aren't we? never mind... ~ Chris.

Very very nice work and I like that cheese slope-technic combination on the base, it creates a great arches effect, which could work great for micro builds.

I saw barrel men for the first time in Hawaii, and you've portrayed them in all their hilarious glory.

Brilliant Shifu! This is funny, cute and creative. We've all got such different takes on this build so far, I wonder which direction Heath will go? I think you could make a whole series of these little fellows, big, small, different shapes and colours. You could sell them at market days to tourists to earn some more Lego money.

Good to see some humor in this contest, and you don't disappoint! Almost looks like the snow man narrator in Rudolph with that little goatee. Well crafted details here. Nice work!

Still makes me laugh! I already said it on Leda's, but I think we may end up finding a use for all of the statues, regardless of the winner! BTW, why no shot's of the back, left side? Is there something you don't want us to see? LMAO! ;) ~H
