(A connectionless build)
About this creation
**The creation above was built without ANY connections.**
This was build for the third round of the Triathalon where the topic was "outside the box". I was fiddling with a new technique and thought, "What would be more outside the box, than to create an entire lego display without any connections at all"... This was the result.
This, (I think) is a new building technique which is a mixture of a cardhouse and jenga... just, with legos! :) Very stressful and terrifying to build, as the slightest slip or lean meant catastrophe :P
Here's a video of the destruction :)

This is truly amazing; I was astounded to learn that there were no connections. I know it has been said be for but this is a beautiful moc and a very good job on pulling it together. |

No connections? I thought this looked very different from all the other Lego creations I've seen, in a good way. Interesting concept and lovely MOC. |

A whole new level of building! It must be fun if you shot it with a cannon like Deus said. But I guess, I couldn't just simply destroy this beauty. |

Wow! That's really rather exceptional. I'm not entirely sure how you've achieved the towers just by balancing the bricks but however you've done it, it's really effective! A beautiful build in a totally new technique. Well done!

Very cool!!! The aesthetic is unique with this approach, and in some respects more effective than the traditional attached element method (assuming realism, or believability, is the goal). I'd love to try this some time. Maybe I'll wait until allergy season is over, though...I mean, really...one sneeze and it's all she wrote! |

This reminds me of a siege game I play sometimes, where you build a couple dozen funny minifigures and a castle out of 2x4s (without connections), then destroy it with a LEGO Technic cannon until all minifigures lie dead. Or you can skull bash it, a fun way to take apart a fragile creation. Anyways, I got this feeling some times, on unstable creations that took long to build, so I ask you - do you hate this MOC? |
