Tie Defender
my interpretation
About this creation
The next logic step after my Tie Avenger moc, is to use the radiator-panels on the next bigger Tie-fighter: the Defender: It has three missile-lauchers, three radiator-panels with together six laser-canons, as the Tie Advanced / Avenger it has an propulsion engine. The radiator-panels can rotate around the centerbody ( only the LDD is irritaded by the six crossaxes around the center one).

One of the most respectfull Tie-fighters

If you see this out of your canopy, you are nearly dead!

enjoy the sideview

the lucky view

the triple propulsion-engines, suittable for three light-bricks, activated by sliding on the center-crossaxe

The panorama canopy, I suggest to make holes in the ends of the flex-tubes, and hold them together by a loop of grey string

the main body

What can I say...this is a piece of art! I base most of my real builds on LDD designs, and at some level I understand how hard this was to design. But still...there's so much going on with the small detailing combined with the structural support! I remember this beast from the 1994 videogame Tie Fighter, it was my favourite and it still makes me smile everytime I see it :)
