Good morning, afternoon, or evening, viewer. Today we have the Heavy Assault Tank, fifth of his line. I don't have much to say about this, except that I have no idea why I built it. Probably just as a measure of defiance, and to use those treads Danny Morgan sent me a few months ago.
Speaking of Danny, it's his birthday on August 31st, so I've decided to dedicate this MOC to him. No Danny, no treads, no further dose of insanity from Awe. And that's terrible.
So, I imagine the HAT-5 is armed with a 155mm main cannon, a 40mm autocannon (of the bolter variety), 22 rockets in the pods, and the MG on the gunner's hatch. I was planning to put another gun up there, but ran out of room. It can flatten liberal yuppies, communists, and minorities with its super-wide treads.
Front. Narrow hull, really, but it works.
It can still fit down a street, right?
Side. Notice how like all my tanks after the MT-4, the turret is mounted more to the front than the back.
Smokestacks and sloped back, with a bucket for boxes. Awe style.
I bet you thought the turret spun. Well, it does.
You just might say its...
Here's what's going on in the back. Stole the net thing from Ultra.
Not too much in the front. This is my first tank with more than one hatch on the to, though.
"The Union banner has not been planted on foreign soil to acquire more territory but for humanity's sake." -Governor John Hood
Chairman Wilson and Governor Hood take control. If this was really the Unioncanon, the entire tank would be white to symbolize it's the Governor's.
The Mad Madmen behind this machine, from left to right: Engineer George Paulson, Colonel Alfonso Aviz, Governor John Hood, Chairman Jered Wilson, Engineer Vladko Radic, and the white cat.
This might be the last true PCU MOC for some time. Due to certain events and the impending adventure called college, I won't even have access to Lego frequently start September 20th. I intend to spend the rest of my time until then building much-needed gear for 23rd Century. Remembah kids: No Doubt, No Fear, No Limit. With those words, you too can into insane overkill!
it looks a little like that french WWI concept tank "abomination" or something, except modern. Most badarse tank I've even seen. Shame we won't get to see it put to use what with the current status of the new group.
