The Hobbit: Dwarf Nori
Nori stands sporting his own mountain of a hat silhouetted against a virtual backdrop of the Lonely Mountain...
About this creation
But, can you tell the mountain from the hat, or the hat from the hair? Well, I hope so because Nori is my entry into the Bio-Hats Contest.

Tah… Dah… My Own Kind Of Hat!

Tah… Dah… My Own Kind Of Staff!

Tah… Dah… My Own Kind of Bro!

4th wall: Not alot is known about Nori. He did live a long time and was probably still alive during the War of the Ring. He is closely related to Dori and Ori, and even distantly related to Thorin.

Quoting juan calle 8/10 great moc but the hat could of been done a bit better in my opinion i love the use of the mask fits great.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Now here is some advise, if you are going to critique anyone's build, it's always best to add a suggestion for improvement. Cheers! :)

Quoting El Barto ! Nice! Maybe you should consider a musical?
Thanks! Well, I have been thinking about dabbling in stop-motion... so, perhaps when all the dwarves are completed... musical stop-motion? Now that's a tall ticket!!! :)

Hey, Stove! All you have to do is click the "share" button underneath the youtube video, then go to "embed", and select "use old embed code". Copy and paste the code into your page and you should be good to go! Hope that helps.

Quoting Justin M Excellent job. You sure did Nori justice! :)
Thanks! And, I hope I can finally figure out how to embed the country-western song "My Own Kind of Hat", and have it play automatically without showing the Youtube video! 'Cuz when I do, I'm adding it! :)

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Great job, especially on the silhouetted hat – very Middle Earthy. I love the artwork you are using too, it is my favourite of all the different illustrations. Good luck Topsy :D
Thanks, I like another of Tolkein's illustrations too, but its proportions do not lend it to filling the computer screen. And I haven't figured out a clever way to get around that and still keep all of the picture and have a 'blank' area for posing the bio build! :)

Quoting Cody G This is one of your best works! Keep it up!
Thanx Cody... I kinda like the guy too! Funny, I used that mask for my Young Gandalf build, which I hope to revise in the future. I actually like the mask on Nori better, so when I revise Young Gandalf I'm going to give him a different mask. But everytime I use that mask I always build a character with more than 2 main colors... what is it about that mask?! :)

Quoting Deimos MOF Now this is intersting. I'ts greebled, but i feel that the color scheme could have one or two color less. and the overall is pretty messy. But i like the hat, and what you did with the torso, so i'll give you 7 out of 10. Good luck!
Glad you like the hat and torso! Sorry you don't care for the color... of course... I do, otherwise I would not have used it. Hey, but we all have our likes and dislikes. Thanks for commenting and critiquing! :)

Quoting Gale Winthrope Well now, that is something isn't it. He looks very nice and I love the hat. Or is it hair? ;) all around well done Tospy.
Perhaps it's a hairy hat! I gave him a staff instead of a real weapon because the movie character carries one. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Quoting Michael Kringe Excellent design, very creative since we don't know much about him from the books. Can't wait for his role in the movie!!
As I replied to David, I was trying to sorta simulate Nori's hairdo from the movie. From just looking at the web-posted pictures, I'm not always happy with the movie characters looks, but perhaps the looks suit them for the movie? Oh... and thanks, I also favor this build design and color. :)

Quoting David Alexander Smith And the moral of TolkIen's works is: never confuse a dwarf's hat for his hair. That's a good life lesson too.
Hee, hee, I was trying to sorta simulate with the 'headgear', the hairdo of Nori from the movie. I searched and searched but could not find any drawings that Tolkien did of Nori?! :)

Thanks and you're welcome! I have experimented/used a similiar, but not exactly the same, torso design with my Bullshido Blue build. I like this one better! :)
