Whilst exploring the deeper seas of Venus in their submersible the ORRT come across an interesting specimen and then the specimen's mummy. Beware the mummy! Thanks to David Roberts for the striped claw arm idea.

Add a few more of those cool striped tentacle thingys and Mum might help you create a new hybrid species! :)
Oh yes, that would be an interesting build. |

The striped claw technique is very nice. I don't know why but that baby looks adorable...

At first I thought the Octopus thought the sub was related to it. Then I noticed the baby octopus. Don't get in the way of a mother and her baby!
Yes I should try a mating season build too - PG rated me thinks. |

Holy horse flies! Oh, no wait, those are next week's idea. Sorry. The octopus is so well crafted, and executed I am amazed. I LOVE the title to this. It is just perfect. The "sub" is well done as always. I love the tall yellow-not-at-all-practical cockpit as well. The escape hatch out the back is great too. As always I love all the colors that come from your builds and that striped claw is definitely my favorite part in terms of colors. But my favorite part of the MOC as a whole is that cute baby octopus! Well done again David. I was happywith the title too. Squidling is friendly so long as you don't let her near a spaceman's face. Beware the baby!

Brilliant! Another great CS build, plus another well sculpted beast. I like the rear hatch and the shape of the inside of the sub looks like a submersible. The stripey arm is, of course, wonderful! I made mine because I have only a few grey links. Did you have the same problem? The big tanks on the outside look like they're something submarine-like too. The octopus is very well shaped. The curves and slopes make a great body and the orange eyes stand out well, being the only orange. It took me a while to work out how you'd done the legs! I suppose the ORRT boys have made a mistake that explorers often make. I hope they survive this one!
I went for the stripes because I wnated a clean link with the blue sub, and didn't want a pure grey claw on the blue connecting piece. FYI the ORRT boys handed back the squidling as soon as mummy showed up. |

Beware the Mummy – hahahaaha, tell me about it ;) I’m currently in the dog house. Anywho on to the moc. I love it, the mummy octopus/squid thing is brilliant but the submersible is my favourite part. The air tanks and pipes fit perfectly and the rotating turret is great.
We've all been in the dog house at one time or another. |
