It is time the Outer Reach Research Team got down to some research. Here the zoologists get up close and personal with a giant Venusian fruit bat in its natural habitat. Keep that camera rolling

What! Bats on Venus! What is next? Frogs on Mars? Spiders on Saturn? Oh I think you have already done those ;). Another brilliant and totally unique build, the bat is so cool.
Better start checking my A-z; otters, jellyfish, earthworms... There's plenty more monsters of there. |

Nice vignette. I like the way you started to develop the base around it; it would be nice to see you incorporate the classic space theme more into that area. ~Dave
I would like to maybe build a CS base under attack one day; coud be fun. |

That appears to be one BIG bat... I wonder if it's friendly?
He prefers fruit to spacemen, but don't prod him otherwise.... |

You've been busy. Nice return to Venus. I like the rock work and some very accurate crafting to get the camera just right. I love the bat. It makes me think of the Neverending Story and the night-hob's bat. I will say, though, that those spacemen seem a lot more safe than I'm used to seeing them. It's nice that they can get a break from the usual slaughter;) you ST do good at pulling the cultural references from my childhood memory; the night-hob's bat is spot on.

What? Nobody got eaten! Oh the build, right... The big bat, especially as it's hanging upside down, made me smile as soon as I saw it. The orange eyes really stand out, as they're the only orange in the build, and look at bit evil. The cliff behind is great: nicely craggy but not totally random. I also like the camera stand. The best bit was how you led us along, photo by photo, waiting for a spaceman to be bitten, eaten or squashed, and everyone survived! Excellent fun! I thought it was about time I gave those guys a break.... But next time!

Those are some funky looking fangs on that guy... Venusian Vampire Bat perhaps?! :)
He's a veggie, otherwise those spacemen would be dinner. |
