So this isn't a moc, its an official lego set review. I have seen some other set reviews on the mocpages so I assume its okay.. If not just let me know and I'll take it down!
About this creation
So basically this set cleaned me out. I bought it because it's full of useful parts, but, as I always do, I built the proper set first. Usually I break it up and use the parts straight away, but this set is literally one of the best I have ever bought. As you'll see, its one of the more detailed and functional Creator sets there have been.

The first talking point is the 'light up' function. The set comes with batteries, which is lucky, because I wouldn't be able to buy any.

The next great feature is the sleek and clever landing gear, which, as you can see, fold away very nicely.

The interior is very cool, to me it looks realistic, and the cockpit even opens at the flip of a switch! (Well, half of it anyway)

And, I think, for the first time in a creator set, you can fit minifigs!

Also, all the wings have some sort of function!

So, if you have 45 pounds to spare, its definitely worth it, even if its just for the parts!

Minifigures aren't included by the way!

I concur, this set rules! A gold mine for red slopes and curves.
Precisely the reason I bought it! And the surprisingly good model made me love it even more! |

I have one aswell, and i just cant make myself tear it apart. Its THE BEST Creator set ever made (according to my personal opinion ofcourse)and in the top five of best Lego sets of all times. And it kinda remind me of a Mustang, because of that colour scheme.
It's not just you, I also think it's great! And I know what you mean ;) |

Looks cool would be good (with a change of colour) for a starting frame for Ramjet
Good idea! |

Very helpful review. I have this set and it is good; if you can, save up for the Sopwith Camel - you'll love that!
Thanks, though it will take me a while to save up £125 haha :) |

I bought this set for parts too! I waited a while and got it from amazon for £30, as £45 seemed a lot to spend. I was quite impressed by the modular build and the overall shape. Two things bugged me. Firstly the canards, which it doesn't need as it has elevators. Secondly, the elevators should be below the level of the wing, otherwise they're in messy, turbulent airflow.
I think I probably should have done that.. Ah well too late now! I agree actually, I thought the canards ruined the front a bit, I would say it looked better without them too. But then, it is only a childs playset, and I'm sure the small issues wouldn't bother them too much ;) |
