Seaside Sanctuary
Mine and Ru's most recent collaborative build. And I get to post it this time since Ru posted our last MOC we built together. :D This was built for a small display with our LUG group about two months ago, but I just now got around to posting it. :P
About this creation

An over head view.

The whole thing.

I would have taken more pictures, but it didn't quite survive the car ride home. :P

Also just so you know, Ru posted this on Flickr before Adam L posted his Seaside Sanctuary . Just in case you were wondering about the similarities... :P

So thanks for stopping by! :)

Few green plates (round) on the round tower and that's the touch... Very nice.

I really like the round tower, and how it's patched grey and tan, I love that type of design. I hope to make some round towers of my own, and you are my inspiration. The water and shore as it blends into the rockwork is brilliant and well done. I do like the square tower, too. ;)

Thanks so much everyone!
Quoting David K. and btw do you and Ru share parts or do you have them in sepparate areas?
We share one big collection. :)
Quoting Ranger Brady So who built what exactly?
Ru built the rocks and most of the square tower. And I built the round tower and most of the water. :)

Nice work! I like the water, it's not some boring blue like you see it so often...

Nice team effort on this. The tan in the round tower might work better if it were used more sparingly, like the dark tan you used in the square tower, but maybe you were just using what you have. Overall, the scene works well and I really like the use of the reversed modified 2x2 tiles, it's a fantastic little detail.~H

Very nice, but if I was to point out a couple of things I didn't like it would be: I think the trans-clear water needs some shade of blue underneath because it almost gives the effect that it's supposed to be ice, the half stud stairs seem almost too steep and to narrow for a minifig to be able to climb up, and I'm not sure how well the tan looks in the tower. But besides those three things it looks great!

It's a lovely concept, I can imagine a whole city appearing behind it in the horizon, a masterpiece!

Annie, Ru, you did it again. Yet another amazing collaboration from you two! The detail in this is superb! Great job with the incoming water too. It flows with the build very nicely:) Well done!

Very cool Annie, lots of nice little details all over this. I found some of the images dark, but that doesn't take away from the build this is. Well done! ~Thoy

Jeez Annie! You and Ru really make quite the team! The water looks great and the rocks as well. Both the towers are splendid, especially the colors in the round one. I am particularly fond of the textured moss. Most people just use green bricks in the building, but it looks a lot more realistic like this. Fantastic job both of you!

When I saw the title, I thought you had gone and added another one to your & Ru's, Acebricks's and Deus's seaside sanctuaries, but it turns out it's the same MOC as on Flickr. Funny how everybody comes up with the same name :P Anyway, very epic build! Loving the composition of the tower :)
