So you are probably thinking "Days 3-17?" . This series will be set up in a Month-Day format. So this season (7-11-2012 through 5-11-2013 [assuming the earth isn't destroyed]) will be all of month one. There will be about 20 episodes to cover 31 (or 30) days. So about 2 episodes a month. Maybe more, maybe less. We shall see.
James woke in a cold, white room.
His hands were cuffed behind him.
Two men stood in front of him.
There was a one way window on one of the walls; someone else was watching.
"Where am I?" he asked.
"You are in our interrogation room," the man with a beard answered.
"I see you held to your promise," James said, remembering what the man said when he was defeated in their last skirmish.
"What are you going to do?" he asked.
"Nothing, so long as you listen well and do as we say," the man paused, "We have one request for you. Do not leave the beach. If you are more than a mile from the beach, we will attack you again, and next time, we wont be so nice."
The six survivors looked at the crater. They had all been interrogated, given the same message then sent back to the beach, unscathed.
No one said anything for a little bit.
"We are going to be here for a while, a long while," James said, breaking the silence.
"We need to build some shelter, not just from the weather, but from them as well," Caleb said. They all knew what he meant by "them".
"Why had no one rescued us?" William asked.
"I don't know. But if they were gonna rescue us, we'd be long off this island."
"Either way," James replied, "I agree with Caleb. We need some shelter. Let's build a wall."
"A wall? Why a wall?"
"Well, it will offer at least some defense from... Them, if not, then at least a warning. Also, it will block out the wind."
Day 4
"Well, said James, "It's a start."
And it was.
Day 5
Progress continued.
Day 9
More had been added to the wall, as had a gate been made.
It was simple, yes effective.
All you had to do was move the two braces on the top...
And the door slid out, making a LOUD noise so that they would have a warning if someone came...
Then is would slid to the side.
Day 13
The convict showed up that day. He was dressed in new clothes, given to him by... them.
"You scumbag!" shouted Caleb as he charged at him.
He tackled him to the ground.
"Get off him, Caleb!"
"Oof!"
"He's a murderer!" Caleb shouted, "Why are you defending him?"
Penn began to speak, "Look, I WAS a murderer, but not anymore. We are here, on this island. We have new lives, everyone deserves a fresh start!"
"He's right Caleb, it's a new beginning."
Day 17
The wall was finally completed.
"I know I'm not really one to talk," Penn spoke, "but we need to establish some sort of law or government."
"I agree," agreed Caleb, which was surprising.
"I'm not sure how it should work, what do you guys think?"
"Wait. Hold on. Do you guys here that?"
"Hey Penn," Caleb said as he looked out the gate to what was making the noise, "I think you were right about needing a government. Especially now."
