Corellian Blockade Runner
Hello everyone! After a long time I'm finally posting a new moc. Took me quite a long time to build this one! It's a Corellian Blockade Runner, built shortly after the founding or the Empire so it combines old and new style elements. Enjoy and comment!
About this creation

I got inspired by the Corellian frigate and blockade runner. Awesome ships! So I decided to build my own one beginning with the engines. Then I wanted to build this complicated form of wings on the sides and voila... The main structure was born!

There's not a place without at least two layers of lego parts, hull and walls in the interior with the exceptions of the cockpit and the docking module of course. Beginning to build with an inner skeleton and then the outer structures made it possible for me to guarantee the highest stability and at the same time flexibility in the further building process.

The Blockade Runner has two standard docking rings.

Welcome on board!

The interior in all its glory, from left to right: engine room, docking module, passenger's room, storages and bathroom, briefing room and cockpit.

The briefing room is absolutely necessary on such a ship!

The cockpit with comfy seats!

The Blockade Runner has enough space for a little band of brave soldiers ready to be brought directly into combat!

In the main room there's a little storage room hidden underneath the floor for weapons or whatever you'd like ther to be stored!

Storages and delicious drinks!

The most important room on board...

Mara Jade planning her next mission.

This is the engine room.

On the left you see the hyperspace engine, then there are consoles and other technical stuff.

On the other side you see the droid station. When out of use it is plucked into the energy device.

Officer on board!

Two advertising pictures :D

The underside with open weapon ports.

Here a closer look on the weapon ports when opened. In total the ship has eight double-laser-cannons which are hidden from view and space debris but opened in battle. Perfect for a secret infiltration!

Don't forget to leave a comment and thanks for looking!

Quoting Ian (Still Busy with School, but will be Back Over the Summer!) Amazingly built vehicle, I wanted to know where you got Mara Jade's hair
They are from one of the Lego Friends sets, they belong to a character called "Mia", I think. Thanks for commenting!

That is awesome! While the outside is pretty basic (although I really like the whole shape of the ship), the interior is extremely well done with many lovely details. Great job!

Quoting Tim C Hey! A fellow April Tenthian. Though I have you by a bit on the year. Anyhow, love the ship. I like all the hidden features. The cockpit is tucked away in a very unique fashion and the interior includes quite a bit. So, what came first, the interior or the exterior?
The exterior! I buyed the official set "Droid escape" because of the two big rounded parts and thought they would make good engines. That's how it started then I had the idea of a docking module and these little wings...

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist Very impressive, it's great to see a new MOC from you. The shape is great, and I love the interior. However, I didn't see a sink in the bathroom... ;)
Yeah, it's hidden behind the door opening mechanism on the right side of the bathroom when you look on the picture :D Thanks for the nice comment! I'm astonished how fast the "I like it" amount grew :D

Wow, what a SHIP! Very impressive, I bet it's gotta be tricky to keep something this huge so cleanly built! All of the functions are great, and the interior is GORGEOUS. Great job.
