LCC-GC2-Eye of a Mammoth
For the Lands of Classic Castle at Classic-Castle.com. The Global Challenge is to build your character finding the sword of King Karlamac.
About this creation
Part One

Hrunting has taken a trek to a remote Smithy in South Garheim.

The proprietor, Harmon, is the best bladesmith in these parts.

Harmon: "What's your business?"

Hrunting: "My sword is not in good shape."
Harmon: "Bring it here. I can always count on you to keep me in the market."

Harmon: "Ah my friend! Regular metal doesn't stand up to your kind of work. By the by, have you heard the rumors of the King's reward for the sword."
Hrunting: "I have."

Harmon: "I just thought that it would interest you personally since the local tale of Duke Wirklich is so vivid."
Hrunting: "And what tale is that?"
Harmon: "Oh you should brush up on local folk lore. Maybe you should leave your mountain home more often."

"Sit back, I think you will find this very interesting indeed."

Part two

Hrunting hid behind the giant bones. The Mammoth graveyard was the only place he knew that the sword could be found. The old beast that attacked Duke Wirklich would travel to the same place as the rest of his kind.

There! Stuck in the eye socket just like the old tale.

Searching the cold Graveyard had been a dangerous expedition but slipping between mammoths is a small price to pay for a quality sword.

Uh oh, that one could be trouble.

Mammoths will guard their graveyard with ferocious force if necessary.

The final stretch will have to be quick.

Success!
Let's hope getting out will not be as tricky as getting in.

This was for the LCC project.
I think did a much better showing than the first GC, but then again it is very easy to beat nothing.

I wanted to show off my Southern Garheim architecture as well. The idea is that there is a base of stone that was very defensive, but in this day there is peace with other factions, so the old stone is fortified with wood from Lenfald.

I am very proud of this mammoth skull. It was harder to get right than it looks.

Nice work. Though the building would've had a nicer smooth look to it if you covered the studs on the roof and floor with flat tiles. Good luck with the contest!
