A small, fast, agile attack ship, following the Vic Viper plan.
About this creation

The Grey Reaper was designed using the classic Vic Viper design scheme.

The spacecraft was armed with two massive anit-shipping missiles. These were capable of destroying a frigate or large merchant ship.

The wings and single dorsal fin of the Vic Viper design gave the Grey Reaper a limited atmospheric capability. Here the missiles would mainly be used against hardened bunkers.

The Grey Reaper is seen here in its classic hunting grounds of the old dust fields and nebulae.

Fourth Wall Stuff...

This MOC provides four firsts for me. It's my first Vic Viper type MOC. It's my first micro-scale MOC. I've also built it in LDD (though did the "real" one first!). Lastly, it's my first grey spaceship on MOCpages!! My hand did stray to the coloured bricks eventually but life isn't grey!
The Vic Viper concept was invented by Nnenn . There's also an excellent explanation on MOCpages by Nils O .

The picture below is the LDD model, processed through LDD to POV Ray Convertor and then rendered with POV Ray.

Very nice micro spaceship and pictures !!! I have some too (build with my oldest son) but haven't had the time to post them. Wich program do you use to modify your pictures?
Thanks for your comments! I use Photoshop Elements, simply because I bought it years ago. I never actually used it until I started posting on MOCpages. I've acquired a load of useful skills in the last few months! I know that a lot of folk use GIMP, which you can get as a free download. Have a look at El Barto !'s group, "It Isn't Rocket Surgery" for lots of useful hints and tips: http://mocpages.com/group.php/13655 |

Really nice stuff here, David. Love the Vic Viper style you worked out here. The thrusters are simple but effective. Great photo editing as well, especially the rear angle shot. Well done.
Thanks for your comments! Things like the thrusters & wings felt a bit like cheating. That said, I've realised that micro-scale makes you look at components and think how to use them differently. |

great parts usage - i like the shape of this craft!
Thank you! I like the way that micro-scale really makes you look at the Lego parts in detail. I think I might do some more. |

Nice, the dorsal fin's great!
I was a bit stuck for the fin. I looked at my selection of modern greeblie bits and then realised the answer was a tile that I've had for 30 years :) |

Like Mortal said, it is very grey here in the UK ;D I really like this, the name is great, the style is great, and the missiles are great! Can't get enough of your mocs at the moment!
Thanks for your comments! I know all about the grey weather: I live in North Wales. When it stops raining I've got to paint my house and stop building Lego :) |

Well it is pretty grey in the UK at the moment ;). I really like this, the wings are very cool. Love the splash of colour and the base.
I tried to keep it all grey! The wings are from inside the Alien Abduction flying saucer, which I bought for parts like the minifig & bubble canopy. |
